For research first off make sure you have pr8 set as your focus (theres a button in the bottom right). And for catchup maybe go for anchorage pr4 if i recall. After that you can just forget about that bit of it for a while.

As for the researches themselves early on you just take the free ones. Later on you can focus the Q ones for gear or D ones for shipyard blueprints. Just dont do the ones that cost cubes.

Having them researching in the background but not actively trying to progress them is still recommended as you'll eventually get around to them, better to start halfway done then at 0

generally I would try to avoid crafting PR gear if you can buy prints for them to save ordnance reports but your stock looks ok as it is

460 +13 does slightly less dmg than syncing with other BBs compared to simply a +13 izumo gun. Furthermore, musashi's barrage debuffs enemies so a 20s gun would fit well with BB syncing or CVs like in this case
