champagne/soyuz/flandre guns do this for medium/heavy armours
Mk6/Mk7 will do the same for light

for late campaign mobbing there's significantly more heavy armour as well as stronger/longer mob waves that you'll want AP and damage staggering, which is where 457 comes in

if you're building an AP BB fleet that can squeeze one more salvo out of 457 and not using Helena then 457 can be a thing

Oftentimes they are flex fleets, typically geared for high fleet power than actually geared competently
As long as you are using a good fleet, you will often find that you run them over in spite of six URs + high fleet power

Eugen is not worth the effort. Portland is cheaper (as she takes purple bulins not gold), and is just as good as a tank (and is required for some of the new-player missions).

Eugen is very hard to kill, but she doesn't do any damage, so you are better off with a tank with slightly less hp and a lot more damage -- killing enemies faster ultimately helps you survive longer.

U can make the grind more efficient (use less oil) if u use less ships. For example 2 main + 2 vanguard.

It might hurt your progression a bit short term but it is better to get more event tokens assuming u manage to do it and dont fail
