it means less likely to catastrophically fail in any given scenario

gear, especially for main fleets is situational, the gear you should use depends on the context and the Champaign gun is used a lot in the context of late-game bossing against medium and heavy armor

triple 406/50 mle is the best gun for anti medium/heavy armor bossing (especially when syncing your BB together and to helena's scan) u want 3 cuz for certain bosses and in OpSi u will run 3 BBs together

that means a fleet has to fight first and 3rd(final) boss and a fleet 2nd
the 2nd boss is easy
and theres an ammo nodes that means u can fight both bosses with mob and stack the broken combo sushi aql + guam laffey and then just let em fight everything and put crossfleets on the 2nd and make it good enough to clear 2nd boss
but this only works on -4 since ooa will hurt too much and the battles are tougher esp 15-2, so for 15-1 - 15-3 just use standard fleets aka alft 81
