It appears to be that if the source of the particle emitter is inside of a part, the particle emitter will be rendered behind the part, even tho the actual texture extends beyond the part

lightning doesnt fade out, remove transparency and reduce lifetime

also lightning doesnt spread out, so remove the speed and spread angle

Make sure transparency is set to 0

And put light influence to 0

Then it will open up something called brightness

Oh hey there, the first thing I'd recommend you do is to just mess around with a particle Emitter in Roblox and try to understand what each of the properties do , then , if you want I could send you a good vid to show you how to make slightly more complex stuff
