effect trick I've been using a lot to share with yus, if you have multiple beams or particles or whatever stacking ontop of each other, changing the speed or length of one beam makes it so they oscillate at different speeds, creating the illusion of pure unrepeating randomness, as long as the speed or length of the second beam isn't a multiple of the first beams speed or length, causing their position to match up

if you look at the actual effect is very sharp, defined and color rich, and urs is very soft in all of that
if you want to make something look powerfull and fast without it actually going anywhere use drag in the particles properties so It slows down over time
like its a bullet cutting through water or something

he is probably using a mesh and then he uses bezier curves to make a part move along the curve path to slowly make the mesh disappear.
