If we get 2/3 extra bars it might be worth having. Have that boost cost 2/3 instead of one. Just because towers are so lucrative as is. Lots of options for more expensive boosts.
Could even have the 1-3 bar idea and have each boost give a certain amount of power depending on how much you spend
I feel like at high anguish we can use this bar quite often.
Having segments would be cool :o
In keeping with the voluntary difficulty = rewards theme, what if there was an accessory literally called "Ascension Shackle" (in addition to shackles via menu) that decreased AL by a % while equipped (after other reductions) during anguish content, say 40%, gave something like +1 proof roll/enemy, and was purchasable from the anguish shop.
The general idea sounds fun.

I really like the shackle rework, but one thing I don't understand:
If you play shackled you have 100% anguished gear chance; however, once your true AL is below the allowed AL, you only get the "unshackled" bonus. This appears strange to me for 2 reasons:
- Misincentive: In the current situation, for gear farming (raids) you have a strong incentive to play shackled below your max difficulty (so that you still have 100% ang gear chance) - not because higher Anguish is more difficult, but because higher Anguish is less rewarding.
- Difficulty: In my understanding, shackled you get the bonus because you play extra hard content. However, if you have less ALs than allowed by shackles, the content is even more difficult - but you get the lower "unshackled" rewards.
-> Wouldn't it make more sense to have the "shackled bonus" in any situation where you don't use more ALs than allowed in the "shackled" Anguish level?
100% should currently be the no-shackle-needed bonus as well as shackled
From Ang6 to Ang 7, the anguished gear chance drops from 100% to 13.2%, because I don't have enough ALs (in the beta).

What if the orn bonus was additive to anguished bonus for orns?
Then you have to farm AL in order to get shackled.
It's the Ang->AL->Ang->AL grinding loop, unless you decide to stay at some point
Don't suppose that's the goal tho as Odie tries to incentivize shackling. If you shackle under the max al you are basically doing more work
