I think there's only that many because there simply doesn't need to be more

And they would run out of colours a lot faster if they just kept going

So they add them slowly to keep them ready for when they may need more

it is incredibly easy to write a program to give you 20 colors that are mathematically the furthest away so there's guaranteed no issue with mistaking one color for another (not like modern cosmetics are helping either), then just add white/black/brown/tan at the end to have a total of 24.

Restricting the lobby size to 15 because the next multiple of five is greater than the total colors is silly imo

at least, that's the only reason I can think for why we don't have 18 player max lobbies

since max imps is players/5 rounded down
