Thank you for your patience today as we push through some new bugs. We're currently working on a fix to address the lag issues we're seeing when players leave a game in the middle of a match. It seems to be affecting Impostors and Guardian Angels.

Fresh out of the oven!! Hotfixes are out for PC, Android and iOS - v2022.8.24 🔥🛠️ (Note iOS and Android may take up to an hour to update in the store, it just kinda comes out whenever the store lets it.)

Lag that occurs when players leave a game in the middle of a match should now be fixed.

We will work on getting this out everywhere else when we can (console takes a little while longer due to needing to go through certifications.) Thank you for playing hope you have enjoyed!

IT’S HERE – IT'S FINALLY HERE! Our new game mode Hide n Seek is now live on all platforms. Run, do tasks, scream, hide, seek or all of the above.

A few things about the mode (spoiler free):

Crewmates – you got the simple job. Do tasks to make the timer go down faster and evade the Impostor. Keep an eye on that danger meter!

Impostor – technically your job is easy too. Kill all the Crewmates to win!

Beware in FINAL HIDE! These last moments of the game are where the Impostor gets a lil boost, Seek map, and directional pings. It’s okay if you cry Crewmates (I did).

• We added some error checking and logging to try to understand the asdfasdf impostor issue that has been reported, but it has not necessarily been fixed yet sorry!!
• Still working on the disconnect issues as well

• iOS - anywhere from a few hours to a few days, fun times in roulette land

✓ In game chat + UI
We noticed that some mobile users disconnect when switching between Among Us and discord, so we put a chat system in the discussion UI!

✓ Discord Integration (PC Only)
We added invite badges to Among Us so you can more easily see who's hosting and quickly join without entering a code!

Unfortunately Discord integration doesn't work on mobile and it won't let us customize the text, so mobile users can't auto-join the game and you might still need to post the game code, but it still helps with seeing when game rooms are open when PC users host.

✓ Version locking
You'll need to have the newest version of Among Us to play online now. This makes it easier for us to find new bugs and harder for you to hit old bugs!

✓ Left the game pop up notification
Some text that pops up on the left side when someone leaves the game.

✓ New intro screen
It's cool. We're gonna tweak it some more, but it's far less plain.

✓ Improved graphics quality in fullscreen (PC Only)

Hey @everyone, we just released Among Us 2018.9.6!

This release is all bug fixes. No new content or features.

✓ Sometimes when playing again, players spawn as the same color. The duped players can't both vote, creating a softlock during discussion.

✓ Sometimes when the host is watching a mobile ad after playing again, it causes other players to be stuck before respawning.

✓ Selecting 2+ Impostors for <4 players or 3+ Impostors <5 players would cause the Impostors to instantly win.
2 Impostors now requires 6+ players, 3 Impostors requires 8+ players.

✓ Selecting 0 total tasks would cause the Crewmates to instantly win
If 0 total tasks are selected, the game defaults to 1 short task.

✓ During discussion, ghosts could send chat messages, potentially giving away the Impostor.
Ghosts can still read messages, but cannot send them anymore.

✓ Impostor ghosts (when there are 2+ Impostors) could kill players
Impostor ghosts cannot kill, but can still sabotage. We will be checking to see how this affects game balance.

✓ Miscellaneous small bugs, like sabotage flashes continuing into discussion or being able to tap buttons through open menus.

We're pretty excited about this update. We added a new "Find Game" view to Among Us so you don't need to post your codes to find players. But don't worry if you want a private game, you can still use codes. Let's look at all of the changes.

Big things
Game Finder
As mentioned, Play Online has a new button that will show a list of available games. The UI is a little rough because we wanted to get this to everyone quickly, but we'll keep improving it from here.

When hosting an online game, there is a new button too. All games start private, so no one can see it in "Find Game", but give it a tap and you can open it up to players around the world!

Sound Effects
For Online and Free play modes, enjoy ambient sounds and footsteps as you move from room to room. If you're playing via Local WiFi, we don't want these sounds to give away where people are in the ship, so they are disabled for mobile players. You can enable them by plugging in headphones before you start the game. We are still adding more sounds in, especially to make panels feel more reactive.

UI Redesign
You may have noticed that the lobby UI is a little different. This is very work in progress, but we're cleaning up other UIs too! All available buttons are visible, but grayed out when not usable, and we made the "Use" button context sensitive for Impostors so it's easier to use sabotages. The task window can now be closed to keep it out of the way. It just looks a little ugly at the moment. :\

Small(er) things
Chat in the Lobby
Yup! You can now chat and organize your game before it starts!

Last Used Game Code
The play online screen remembers the last used game code until you quit.

Kill Distance Setting
You can now pick between short, normal, and long kill distance using the lobby computer.

Bug Fixes

• You should be far less likely to spawn into space before/after a game.
  • This is partially caused by a host with a poor (high ping) internet connection. You may need to wait up to 10 seconds to spawn when joining or rejoining a game. 10 seconds is how long it takes to safely kick someone if they abruptly disconnect.
• Players should no longer occasionally spawn duplicates.
  • Similar to above, It may take a few seconds to despawn when quickly rejoining due to abrupt disconnect.
• You can no longer start the "Clean O2 Filter" task through the cafeteria wall.
• Multiple impostors cannot start multiple sabotages at the same time.
• Security door could never be closed.
• No longer softlock when exiled as impostor during freeplay.
• Various other fixes such as some panels not auto-closing after completion.

As always, we're still in beta (but getting a lot closer to leaving!), so you can leave feedback or bug reports in #old-report-bugs. Thanks for playing!

This update was supposed to be only bug fixes, but we got a little carried away and added a bunch of new stuff too!

Ban Menu
After seeing people being rude or spamming in chat, we decide to give hosts the power to kick or ban players. Kicked players can rejoin before the game starts or after each round when everyone is in the lobby. Banned players will not be able to join the game they were banned from. This includes if the host who banned them leaves the game, but not if that host creates a new game.

These powers are only available when the chat screen is available and are meant to combat spamming and severe AFK. Please try to be respectful with your use of these or you might find people not joining your game when you host. :(

Doors and Sabotages
Doors were meant to control player movement and vision for making kills easier, but we found that you might get an easy, early win by delaying player movement towards the reactor sabotage, which is not in the sneaky, suspicious spirit of Among Us. So doors can no longer be closed after a sabotage has started, and sabotages can't be started with doors closed.

New Sound Effects
We began putting more sounds in for online players and local players with headphones, but that was just the tip of the iceberg! Most panels now have sounds and there are now ambient effects in MedBay and Weapons. There are still buttons that don't boop and doors that don't slam, but the ship definitely feels more alive.

Bug Fixes

• Certain kill animations had incorrect crewmate colors
• The incorrect player would sometimes be voted off despite a consensus.
• Triggering two meetings in quick succession could cause a softlock.
• (PC Only) Admin's card swipe task would close sometimes when releasing the card.

Well, kinda.

The Bad News
It turns out that Itch.io doesn't have a good way of selling lots of little things, so only mobile players can buy hats* until either we release on Steam (at least a few weeks from now. We don't have the Steam page up yet.) or itch answers our pleas to add a better way for selling small DLC.

In related news, we had another outage on 10/10 caused by attempting to add IPv6 support, so we had to quickly release this version to update Among Us' online server. Everything was already tested, so there shouldn't be many extra bugs, but we are still trying to get Apple App Store approval so iOS is currently left unable to play.

The Good News
We added other features than just hat and fixed a deep bug that would have caused some connection issues. (As well as other smaller bugs that hopefully you never noticed.)

Discussion Timer
We heard a lot of complaints that public games would go to discussion mode and some players would immediately vote instead of discussing. So we added an option to disable voting for the first 0-120 seconds (default: 15 seconds) of each meeting. Hopefully that helps.

Consistent Hosts
An issue when you want to play Among Us a certain way is that the first person to rejoin the lobby becomes the host and thus controls the settings. So when the server went down, we took the time to change how rejoining works. Now the person who creates the room stays the host always until they leave. Everyone else must wait for the host to rejoin or leave before they can rejoin. If the host leaves, the next person who joined will become host.

Wrapping Up
We're getting really close to being out of beta. We want to do seasonal hats and will continue to do bug fixes, but little new content and features will be added from now until we call the game complete. Thanks for playing and feel free to let us know how things are going in #among-us-general.

Version 2018.10.16 is a smaller update, but still has some big fixes, so here's a quick list of the important ones.

• When a player joined a game at the same time the host started, the joined player could get some weird behaviour. The easiest to see is that you don't get tasks, but it might also lead to overpopulation (>10 players in a game)
• When two meetings start at the same time (by report or emergency), clients would see two meeting tablets. One of them would work, but the other would never close, often leading to a softlock.
• General network stability. Players should notice fewer disconnects.

Also, as general note, we've had two more server outages, in the mornings of Oct 16th and 17th. These happened overnight when we're sleeping, so they last for longer than they really should, but with just one programmer, all we can really do is apologize, fix the bug that causes the server crash, and put the server back up. I'm also doing testing to improve the server without hitting a crash, but that's slow going without knowing every possible location for a bug.

We also added a couple new things:

• We added an optional voting timer to limit meetings from 1-5 minutes (default: off). So hopefully kicking/banning due to AFK and stubbornness will be reduced.
• We put the shop in the lobby's customize screen, so if you see a sweet hat or are tired of mobile ads, you can easily buy those things.

Hey @everyone,

Another quick update with just bug fixes. This version is compatible with 2018.10.16, so we're rolling it out a little faster this time. Android and PC get it today and iOS will get it as soon as Apple approves. Until then, we won't force anyone to upgrade, but hosts with the newest version will cause fewer bugs. Speaking of bugs, here's the ones we fixed:

• "Black screen of death" caused by joining a game when the host leaves
• Couldn't scroll down enough in customize game to set short tasks
• Local play only showed stars on rejoin or recreate
• Free play would wouldn't showing tasks
• (Mobile Only) Couldn't change name in local play menu.
• Add "Waiting for Host" when joining a game that just ended.
• Couldn't find a game after leaving/being kicked from a game.

All of these were reported in our #old-report-bugs, and we're super thankful for that. So if you find any more, let us know!

Just another quick update for Among Us with fixes for the bugs causing the most trouble. These are compatible with the previous version of Among Us, but since we're rolling out on all platforms, it won't be be long before we make them mandatory.

Here's what we fixed:

• Exit Game on "Waiting For Host" is usable
• Impostor and victim colors switched on tongue kill
• Reduced occurrence of black screen softlock when starting game
• Joining a started or full game no longer causes "Waiting For Host" popup
• Fix hat angle when spawning in on right side of lobby

Pricing
Today is Among Us' last free PC release. On 11/16, when we release the Steam version, we will also begin charging $5 on itch.io, Kartridge, and Steam. The PC versions will also include all hats released prior to 11/16. Mobile versions will remain free with ads and $1 hats, but we're dropping the price of removing ads to $3.

We're changing our pricing around because as of last month, the Among Us servers have enough usage to start costing us money. Just a little bit right now, but we now feel comfortable marketing the game more heavily since the bugs aren't as bad. This might bring a lot more people in so we need to be able to pay for the server power.

New Update
We also noticed that we don't have a single way of communicating with all Among Us players, so we added an announcements section into the game itself. It'll only pop up when there's something new to read, but you can read the last message any time. And, of course, there's some bug fixes as well.

• Improve how to play (especially for PC)
• Fix random freeze when meeting starts
• Fix black screen just before intro plays
• Make spawning into stars less likely (Host sees it as player spawning in without a name)
• Fix masking issue on "recommended settings" checkbox
• Fix garbage task some more. Seriously, I think it's fixed this time.

Thanks so much for sticking with us as you've endured bugs, more bugs, server outages, and the same bugs (again?). We're glad we could make a game that you could keep playing and we're excited to make more games in the future. What version is this update?
2019.8.8.1

Where can I download the map?
Steam, iOS/Apple, and Android will have access to the new map. Unfortunately the PC version for itch.io will not be able to download the map because they don't allow for DLCs. We have tried for months to get itch.io to implement DLCs but until then, download the game from the links provided below.

What about itch?? 😠
We will continue to update the itch.io versions for gameplay bugs and such, just PC version won't have pets or the new map until itch.io allows DLCs. If you have purchased the PC itch version and are interested in the new map, please email us at [e-mail] with a copy of your receipt and we can try to exchange for a Steam version.

The map is $4USD?
Yes, this is like any other DLC. Anyone who buys this map is supporting the three Innersloth developers and the game servers. We've been working on this map for the past year and we hope you enjoy it!

Will the map ever be free?!
We plan on doing free map weekends from time to time (schedule to be determined) so please look out for those. We will make announcements when we do end up deciding what weekends will be free.
We might do a sale on the map in the future, so look out for that!

Who can play the map?

Sorry it's been so long since our last update, we've been really hard at work on Polus which is coming out in one week! Check out the trailer for that, it's the previous announcement if you missed it. Just before that, we wanted to get out one more little release. We hope you really like version 2019.11.5!

Online players can now join MIRA games for free!
We've been hearing about players buying MIRA, but not having enough players to enjoy it, so we decided to give everyone the benefits that local players have. To host a game, you must own the MIRA map. But in version 2019.11.5 and newer, you can now find and join MIRA games without owning it.

How does this affect Polus?
It doesn't. For now, we are planning to launch Polus the same way we launched MIRA. Online players will need to own the map to play unless it is a free weekend. Local players will only need a host that owns the map.

Did you fix other stuff?
Yep! There's plenty of bug fixes for Skeld and MIRA, and this version should be significantly harder for players to hack. 💪 Enjoy!

What version is this update?

Where can I download the map?
Steam, iOS/Apple, and Android will have access to the new map in the in-game shop!

What about itch?? 😠
Same protocol as MIRA! We will continue to update the itch.io versions for gameplay bugs and such, just PC version won't have pets or the new map until itch.io allows DLCs. If you have purchased the PC itch version and are interested in the new maps, please email us at [e-mail] with a copy of your receipt and we can try to exchange for a Steam version.

The map is $4USD?
Yes, this is like any other DLC. Anyone who buys this map is supporting the three Innersloth developers and the game servers. Our game continues to grow and people buying the DLC helps us continue to create more content and support the game servers!

Will the map ever be free?!
We plan on doing free map weekends from time to time (schedule to be determined) so please look out for those. We will make announcements when we do end up deciding what weekends will be free.
We might do a sale on the map in the future, so look out for that!

Who can play the map?
If you purchase the map, you can host in local and online, search for online games for Polus, and play in freeplay!
Those who play local and don't own the map, only the host needs the map and you can still play!

Hey @everyone ! Apologies for the radio silence! We are sure you all know a lot is going on in the world, so we hope all of you are well and safe.

The day has finally come where our Among Us DLC maps MIRA HQ and Polus are free! That means anyone and everyone can host on all three maps! The hats and skins associated with the maps were difficult to remove (“fun” behind-the-scenes with Steam and Mobile platforms is really what’s up) so we’ve made them purchasable as normal skin DLCs!
We also added a bunch more free hats for players to choose from! As well an update to the Crewmate Pet DLCs with the addition of a Crewmate Hat! That’s it for now, we’re still doing what we can for bug fixes. We hope you enjoy this update!

Hope you all are excited for a merchandise update as well! Whoot whoot!
Merchandise was delayed for several months but is slowly but surely getting back on track! Our first merchandise release will consist of tshirts, a tote bag, and a Crewmate plushie! A lot of the merch will be Among Us focused, though there will be a Henry Stickmin shirt! We have many ideas for future merchandise releases but we want to play it extra safe with this first launch!

We plan on doing a pre-order for sizes on six T-Shirt designs with one of them having four t-shirt color choices. We will have a very limited stock on the totes and the plushies to gauge people’s interests. We know with all that is going on, we want to reassure you there is no pressure to buy these products if you can’t! None of the products are limited edition and we plan on restocking in the future, so stay tuned for future restocks! If the Crewmate plushie sells out, we plan on reordering more and possibly ordering in a new color or two!

Currently we’re aiming for the end of June or early July to launch merchandise! We’re super excited and hope you are too!

Hey everyone!

I just wanted to hop on here and give everyone an update about the addition of new Mods and VC Mods.
It's been a whirlwind the past few months will all the excitement surrounding Among Us! Both exciting and extremely stressful. The three of us at Innersloth are extremely grateful the continued support!!

With the help from some of the Mods, I've been looking through the Mod apps and making sure we take are picking very carefully. Doing this along side other biz dev, game dev, and work-life balance has been really difficult and I am very burnt out at this point. That does not mean that we are not picking new moderators. I just want to be clear that I've been really busy and extremely tired, hence things are moving slowly. Apologies, and I'm taking appropriate breaks to make sure things are done correctly.

I will say though that I plan on on-boarding new Mods and VC Mods starting this next week, Oct 12th and on.
We plan on bringing in the new moderators slowly but surely.

Over this week and next week, we're planning on doing a bit of restructuring & clean up! This means you might see some channels get moved around/removed, rules reworked, a new code of conduct, and a big ol' purge of the server. Here's why this will matter to you:

You've probably noticed that the server has changed quite a bit. Here's some important info for you as we continue to clean up the server:

• Make sure you sign up for a role in #server-access to open up channels accordingly
• There are new #rules ! Not too much has changed, but please read them!
• Matchmaking channels will temporarily be closed as we integrate a new system! Don't panic if you don't see them for a bit. 🙂 However, keep in mind that while we WILL have matchmaking channels (coming soon!), this server is NOT focused on being a matchmaking service for games - we (the devs) hope to be more active around here in future and will use it to provide more updates, so that is what the server focus is on.

We've just added Quickchat (version 2021.2.21) - this is an easier, faster and safer option to play if you're using text chat! More info in the game.

I know you're waiting for the big update news too. Sorry it's been so quiet on our end, we've been focused and working on getting things to you. In the future we'll definitely make sure to get you more regular dev updates.

• blank screen when creating a new room
• players unable to find any lobbies in the public list
• age gate reduced to 13

Small patch notes for Among Us -- new build is live on Epic Games Store!

Version 2021.7.20
-Fixes the issue where the EGS version of the game was crashing on startup for some users.
-Some people may see a webpage popup when opening the EGS version of the game asking for consent for Epic to share some data with Among Us (this is a data consent that is usually inherently granted, but some users have lost that consent for whatever reason). After accepting, users should be able to log into their account in Among Us as normal.
-Some users may still see the FailedEpicAuthToken error initially, but if they try to log in again, it should work then (it may take a few seconds for the access approval to propagate through)

Note: We're definitely sure it fixes the crash, but only kinda sure it will fix the FailedEpicAuthToken error. If anyone is consistently seeing the FailedEpicAuthToken on this new build, please let us know in #old-report-bugs and send over a player log if possible!

Heyo! Realize Among Us servers have been super wonky the past week, really sorry about that. 🙏 We have some things in the works that should be approved by end of day hopefully, which means by end of week things should hopefully stabilize. They've been pretty on/off, so try switching servers if you aren't able to access one.

This is a STEAM-ONLY update for general server stability improvements! Please ensure you are on the latest version to get the fixes. Hi Crew!

The cool not poopypants @tropic thistle has worked on a new moderation bot for the server. In addition to creating a better moderation system, it'll have fun features like:

• Fun mod-controlled mini games
• A few role-related functions (coming soon™️)
• uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Since it's a brand new system we're testing out, there might be some weirdness in the server so please bear with us while we get it all fixed up!

BUG FIX 🔪🐛

Finally fixed Impostors losing the ability to ever kill again after attempting to kill a Crewmate protected by a Guardian Angel. This fix is already out and working so far!

It was such a weird error we wrote about it for anyone curious lol

It's a voluntary position with no big responsibilities, think of it as a moderator with less work, but is potentially the next step to becoming a moderator if we think you're a good fit for the team. Especially if we want to do more fun Discord events, we will need more fun Crewmates helping out.

As a Helper your perks will include image perms, a Helper chat, a peek at the fixes the dev team is working on, and the ability to use some bot actions.

We know there are a lot of talented members in our community and we want to allow some of you artists out there to show off your work! You can now submit your original emoji via #emoji-vote-2022 between Jun 24th-July 8th

The top voted emojis (decided by community vote) will be added as permanent fixtures for use in our server! We are limiting it to one emoji submission per artist so give us your best!

We can't wait to see what you come up with!

Requirements for your emoji to meet:

Must be your original work

Must feature an Innersloth-related character, such as characters from Henry Stickmin or Dig2China, Crewmates or Impostors, or our very own sloth!

For optimal emoji resolution, you can upload them in sizes up to 128x128 pixels, but they will be resized to 32x32 pixels. Additionally, the emoji file size must be smaller than 256KB.
