Just a heads up that we're going to be enabling an anti-hoisting function for Slothbot ("hoisting" is changing your username or nickname to appear higher up in the userlist).
We're not making it against the rules (so nobody will be warned for it) but we also don't want people doing it as it simply clutters the userlist so this is the compromise we're making!

Regarding art tracing
We've been seeing a concerning number of cases of users posting copied or traced art in the fan-art channels, most notably artwork from "Friday Night Funkin': Vs Impostor".
We require that all artwork posted in our server be 100% original content. The only exception to this is if you received express permission from the author prior to creating your work.
When first starting out making art, you might find yourself using someone else's artwork as inspiration. Whilst it's totally fine to try to emulate an artist you like or even tracing their artwork for your own practice or private purposes, that is different to posting the artwork online implying you created it yourself.
We consider posting traced artwork like this as theft. It is not fair to the original artist(s) to have their work taken and used without their permission. The purpose of our artwork channels is to let you showcase your own original work, not to post edits or copies of someone else's work that you have taken. We take this very seriously.
From now onwards, users found to be posting artwork using traced or otherwise stolen assets will immediately and permanently lose access to our fan-art channels in addition to warnings/bans according to our #rules.
Note that crediting the original artist does not exclude you if you do not have permission to copy their art.
We would also like to clarify that if you see a user breaking our server rules or otherwise acting inappropriately (such as posting traced artwork), you should report them via #i-need-help and do not confront them directly. Doing so may lead to warnings, as it only serves to make our task (resolving a situation as cleanly and amicably as possible) much more difficult.

With Autumn just around the corner, we've decided to open submissions for an Autumn themed server banner! Submissions will be open until <t:1693810740:F>
All you have to do is submit your art in #autumn-server-banner-contest as one of the following categories:
- Early Autumn [think mid Sept - mid Oct]
- Mid Autumn [think mid Oct - mid Nov]
- Late Autumn [think mid Nov - mid Dec]
You may submit one piece per category for a total of 3 submissions. Please remember to tell us which piece is which if you do.

Howdy folks!
As you all may know, we get an influx of trolls and bad actors during June (Pride Month) and the mods will be working hard to keep the server safe and clean.
I just want to remind everyone what you should do if you spot a troll if you want to make our jobs a little easier (and we'll think you're cool if you do):
1. Do not interact
Trolls thrive on knowing they bothered you. If you reply to them, you encourage them to keep going, which means moderators have more to clean up. Please do not engage trolls.
Especially important is, don't stoop to their level - just because they say nasty things doesn't mean it's okay for you to do it back to them. Just block them.
2. Ping a moderator
Look at the user list and ping any online mod. If someone else has pinged a mod, you don't need to keep pinging. The sooner you let us know there's a bad egg, the sooner we can throw 'em out!
3. Use Slothmail
If no mods appear to be available or you're not comfortable pinging a moderator, you can use Slothmail via #i-need-help to privately contact us!
