Found source of issues of not gaining XP. It appears Buff tracks key strokes to award XP and track activity. If I use a controller for apex and warzone, i'm not gaining any XP. since i'm not using the keyboard. Hearthstone is all mouse, and buff goes to sleep with no key strokes thus gaining no XP. The Sims expects keystrokes as well even though it is mostly a mouse game.
