This is one of the debate that I brought up a long time ago. Just think of it as "all lightbearers are human, but not all humans are lightbearer." the term lightbearer is very misleading because it makes people think the opposite way. Lightbearer faction in chinese under an auto translator is called the glory empire faction or the empire of light or shining light empire. So lorewise, the dwarves are not lightbearer, they are just taking refugee in the lb territory. And in fact, dwarven people were even more powerful and bigger than the lb. Their capital was on that snowy mountain and they even had extended territory on the other continent. The game could technically have a dwarven faction if lilith really want to stick to the lore... lol

The scary part is? At the time he lived, people with his attitude weren't at all unusual. Other people also seeking the secret to immortality committed countless other atrocities in its pursuit. (Which, incidentally, is one of the things that pissed Annih off in the first place.)

For now, most similarities are surface only. Both having similar feathers, as well as Vyloris' niche being deception and disguise. I personally think it's too early to tell, precisely because we know so little about either character. We don't really know Vyloris' true backstory and motivations (though it's coming in an upcoming event right?), and we don't really know anything about the historian except that she's maybe the same one from The Foreboding Disaster VoW.

It's kinda confusing because the English lore and Chinese lore are different. Basically, while he was being controlled by the lich, he had very little sense of self but then broke free bc he had a pure heart. He's not a meat puppet killing machine in CN lore anymore.

I think the idea is that since Anasta had so many supporters, if Skriath came out on top normally there would still be loyalists to her that would get in the way of peace, but by her disgracing herself as a traitor, no one would stand by her side

This is just my interpretation, but how I'm seeing it is that there was a really strong cult of personality (for lack of a better term) around her. There were a lot of people willing to fight and potentially die in order to make her leader. When emotions are that strong, even the person at the center of it all loses control. Even if she decided to cede to Skriath, there may still have been those who refuse to accept it and would act independently in a way that disrupts peace in order to install their "righteous" ruler. In such a case, the most effective option is to completely shatter the foundation of the cult so that there isn't anyone who would have even a reason to try.

On a more cynical side, I think it's also intentionally to prevent Anasta herself from ever changing her mind. Like, she clearly DID want to be chieftain herself, thus how conflicted she appeared to be in the story. She may have been tempted at some point down the line to try and usurp power for real, but by turning herself into someone no Mauler would ever stand behind ever again, she cuts off that option for herself.

Of course, the story doesn't really say anything about this, so I'm just speaking out of my ass here, but that's what makes sense to me

Graveborns aren't inherently bad, but most are "corrupted" in some sense. The eye he summoned is likely Quaedam.

The lore isn't very specific about it, so I'm not sure exactly how that works. But a lot of Graveborn seems to become "worse" versions of themselves when they turn. It's mostly a thing with those that make a pact with Quaedam though, and not everyone.

Here is what I think which characters will end up being released as playable heroes.
Most likely to be released as playable hero: The king - Peggy's father, prince Lester, the three gb elders of the Eldrich council, bishop Palmer - lucius and belinda's teacher, Oku's daughter and the girl in saurus's lore (possibly the same char), the elemental wood guardian, the infamous gb Edwin.
Less likely but still has a high chance to be released: God of war Gezo, the dwarven soldier in Alna's lore, the noble lady who saved Rosaline, Saveas's brother.
Honorable mention: larin - Kaz's friend, rosaline's younger brother, Kheiss Rayne, emperor Ancelot
