Create your own original short video about two new heroes Geralt and Yennefer in AFK Arena and post the content on your personal TikTok account and/or YouTube Shorts channel with hashtags #afkxthewitcher3, #afkarena, and #thewitcher3; Also, please provide your correct information via this Google Form: https://forms.gle/QcDWeQa9RoYayGuS8
We will calculate likes on your entry starting October 11th and rank your content based on the number of likes. The final results will be announced later on in the in-game community, and rewards will be sent based on rankings.
Each participant can submit more than 1 piece of work during the contest. However, you will only be ranked based on the content with the highest Likes, which means each person will receive the reward once only.

Testers Needed!
In order to provide a better game experience and help optimize the latest version of the game client, we are searching for willing players to help us find potential bugs.
We plan on sending APK files out to all players that are participating in our test. The content of this APK is identical to the current Google Play version, however this version may require frequent updates to fix bugs and issues soon after they are discovered, therefore if you are looking for a more stable experience, we recommend not applying to be a bug tester.
Players can opt out of the test at any time by deleting the test version of the game on their phones and re-downloading the official version from Google Play.

In the current version of the game, we have raised the highest ascension tier to "Ascended" wherein its star level can also be raised. The Ascended tier is one tier higher than Mythic+. We realise many players may have already used their Elite+ heroes as a resource for leveling up other heroes before the announcement of the new ascension tier was made, thus we would like to offer players some compensation.
Compensation Standard:
Players that consumed any Elite+ heroes as resources, while already possessing a Mythic+ hero of the same name will receive one Elite hero as compensation.

Legends' Challenger Season 1 Notice
Greetings Adventurer,
In order to give more players the opportunity to play and experience the Legends' Challenger tournament, we have reduced the duration of season 1 from 2 weeks to 3 days. Players are now also required to have completed Chapter 9 instead of Chapter 5 in order to participate. Once season 1 has been concluded the tournament season duration will revert back to 2 weeks.

However, there can be ways to help us even more!
In your report, please include the bot's/scammer's ID. You can do this by enabling Developer Options in your Discord settings. After that, can access a new menu called Copy ID. This will copy their ID in your clipboard, and then you can paste it our chat boxes.

1. Added the Celestial heroes: Elijah & Lailah - Celestial Twins
2. Added the Lightbearer hero: Rosaline - The Kind
New Additions and Optimizations
1. Added a new 'Signature Item' system. Heroes can now activate an exclusive signature item once they reach Mythic ascension. Signature items are powerful new items that can greatly strengthen the heroes that wield them. Resources used to activate and strengthen signature items can be found via AFK Rewards after completing Chapter 17.
2. Adjusted the difficulty for chapters 18 and onwards. Players that have already passed Chapter 18 will receive a relevant amount of signature item resources as compensation based on their progress.
3. Added the new structure 'Voyage of Wonders' to the Dark Forest page. When there are available voyages, players may embark on adventures and seek out new riches.
4. Added a new hero selection option to the Stargazer. Players can choose from a selection of older heroes to replace the current day's Stargazer hero.
5. Added the new campaign chapter: Chapter 30 - The Decaying Port
6. The King's Tower now has 450 playable floors and the Towers of Esperia now have 240 playable floors. With the introduction of 'Signature Items', the difficulty of certain floors have been adjusted.
7. Adjusted the difficulty of certain campaign stages and adjusted the enemy formations for stages 9-20, 13-4, 18-14, 18-16, 20-12.
8. Revamped the player portraits and story page visuals.
9. Optimized the Hero Mercenary feature. Hero applications will now disappear from the application list once they have been successfully rented out.
10. 100 Tavern Tokens now let players summon heroes via "Hero Choice Cards" instead of using the chest icon.
11. Fixed a bug that would cause the incorrect rewards to be displayed in the Stargazer and Arcane Labyrinth.
Heroes and Peaks of Time Adjustments
1. Optimized the description of Eironn's "Elemental Surge" ability.
2. Fixed a bug that was causing certain ranged heroes' attacks to be ineffective if the enemy was located too close to the edge of the screen.
3. Removed two redundant rare loot locations from the Peaks of Time adventure "The Savage Wastes"
4. Fixed an issue affecting the plot which would occur when Vurk retreated in the Peaks of Time adventure "The Burning Woods"
5. Changed the prerequisite for lighting the fire in the "The Burning Woods". Ezizh now only needs to be defeated once instead of four times.
6. Optimized the map visuals for the Peaks of Time adventure "The Abysmal Delves".
7. Optimized the map visuals for the Peaks of Time adventure "The Divine Realm".
8. Fixed a bug that allowed players to open the guardian's screen without needing to defeat the guardian within the Peaks of Time adventure "The Solar Plane".
9. Increased the damage for Numisu's "Resonating Blast" ability. Increasing the damage from 150%/170%/190% to 200%/220%/240% per each respective skill level.

- Optimized the description for Lucius’ “Blessed Shield” ability, noting that he cannot be controlled while using it.
- Adjusted the way damage reduction of Lucius’ “Blessed Shield” ability works in conjunction with gear that also reduces damage, resulting in “Blessed Shield” no longer completely preventing damage due to its stacking effects.
- Due to the adjustments made to the stacking mechanics of Lucius’ “Blessed Shield” ability, the degree of its damage reduction effect has been increased from the previous values of 50% / 50% / 60% up to 65% / 65% / 75% per each respective ability level so that it is similar in strength to its pre-adjustment state.
- New effects added to the “Blessed Shield” ability. If Lucius’ ultimate ability is ready to be used, he can stop using Blessed Shield and immediately use his ultimate ability.
4. Grezhul
- Optimized the description for “Shadow Shield”, clarifying its targeting rules. Ability’s effects remain as they previously were.
5. Safiya
- If Safiya is interrupted or killed while charging up her “Falling Sun” ability, the magical orb will still be released from the point that it was charged to.
- The magical orb for the “Falling Sun” ability will now hit the ground more quickly than before.
6. Vurk
- The explosive effect of Vurk’s “Poison Vial” ability will now immediately be triggered if an enemy dies while they are still poisoned by the ability.
7. Thoran
-“Retaliation” can only be charged up if there are enemy targets within attacking range of Thoran.
- Damage for “Retaliation” will now affect a small area behind Thoran.
8. Elijah & Lailah
- Simplied and shortened the visual effects of Elijah & Lailah’s ultimate ability when they are portrayed as enemies within the Arcane Labyrinth when they enter the battlefield.
9. Rosaline
- Optimized the visuals of Rosaline’s character image.
10. Seirus
- Fixed a problem that prevented Seirus’ signature item ability’s health restoration effects from being unlocked at level +10 as stated, which weren’t actually unlocked until a higher level.
11. Visual changes have been to made to several of the following heroes after they’ve reached Legendary Ascension Tier.
- Ulmus: Appearance now changes once having reached Legendary Ascension Tier.
- Tasi: Appearance now changes once having reached Legendary Ascension Tier.

In order to make your Discord experience smoother on the AFK Arena Official Server, we have decided to prune inactive members and thus lessen the Discord server load effective Wednesday, 28th of August.
As a result, all 30 days inactive Discord accounts will be kicked from the server. Furthermore from that date on we will enable the autoprune function set to 6 months.
Pruning refers to kicking stale users who haven't logged in to the Discord server in a set amount of time.

- Added the new adventure "The Depths of Time" to the Voyage of Wonders, which will be available from September 6th 00:00 UTC.
- Added 50 new floors to the King's Tower and reduced the difficulty of some of the already existing floors.
- Players can now climb up to 300 floors within each respective tower within the Tower of Esperia feature, while the difficulty of some already existing floors has also been reduced.
- Added the option to use diamonds to open more slots within the Resonating Crystal, while also adjusting the amount of diamonds needed to remove slot cooldown time. The amount of diamonds required to remove cooldown is now directly linked to the amount of time left on the timer.
- Added Thoran - The Fallen King and Raine - Death's Denier to the Labyrinth Store.
- Adjustet the formation of multiple stages withing the campaign, resulting in fewer Legendary and Ascended duplicate heroes appearing in the same formation.
- Adjustet the difficulty of multiple campaign stages in order to make the increase in stage difficulty smoother.
- Added a new special effect to factional gear which is displayed when any faction gear is adorned by a hero of the corresponding faction.
Hero Adjustments and Changes
- Completely reworked the animation for Grezhul - The Corrupted
- Fixed a problem causing Belinda's "Brilliance" ability to incorrectly incorporate a haste reduction effect at level 1 and 2.
- Fixed a problem affecting Belinda's signature item ability "Gift of Heaven" which would sometimes cause Brutus to instantly die without allowing him to use his "Last Gasp" ability to be activated beforehand.
- Fixed an issue causing Rosaline to move about the battlefield without initiating any attacks.
- Fixed an issue that would cause an enemy to still be able to attack even when they had already been confined by Fawkes' "Confine" ability.
- Fixed an incorrect number value which appeared in multiple language descriptions of Lucius' "Heaven's Protection" ability. The ability's actual values have not been change in any way and remain the same as before.
- Optimized the descrption of Antandra's "Fury Strike" ability. The ability's actual effects have not been changed in any way and remain the same as before.

- Added a smart-ascension feature to the Temple of Ascension which will intelligently auto-ascend recommended Rare+ tier heroes into Elite tier heroes.

- Added a completely new visual effect which is displayed when receiving a new hero.
- Optimized the way players check hero formations for multiple features.
- The revert heroes feature is now locked by default. It may only be unlocked once the hero's reversion requirements are met.
- Added a feature allowing players to use diamonds to purchase Medals of Valor and Heroic Merits within the Regal Rewards and Champions of Esperia features 4 days before the events end.
- Optimized the font of the English settings header.
- Amplifying Emblems may be bought from the Store with Gold Coins once the player has passed Chapter 22 of the campaign.

- Adjusted the level up effects from level 2 to 3 for the ability "Domination"
The duration of the ability "Taint" has been increased from 10/13/13 seconds up to 15/25/25 seconds per each respective skill level.

- The ability "Butchery" will now always be automatically cast within Team Hunting.

- Golus' normal attacks are now close-range AoE attacks.

- Ability "Static Field" will now always deal damage to the enemies of the hero that it is cast upon.
- The ability "Spectral Disruption" will no longer be interrupted by single high damage attacks.

- For the ability "Confine", if an enemy is confined within Fawkes' coffin when all of the enemy's allies are slain, the remaining confined enemy will be released earlier from the coffin.

- Modified Vurk's pre-legendary ascension appearance.

- Fixed a bug causing the ability "Knockdown" to allow Antandra to recover energy despite the enemy not being knocked down or killed.

- Winter is here! Added a new wintery look to Ranhorn and the Dark Forest.
- Added the new Voyage of Wonders adventure: The Frosted Expanse, which will be available starting

- Enhanced the design of all in-game buttons.
- Enhanced the ‘Event’ page’s appearance.

- Numisu - The All Seer
- Raised Numisu’s overall health value by 6%.
- Raised the health value for all of the ‘Rejuvenating Totem’ ability’s totems. The previous health value of a totem was equal to 200% of Numisu’s attack rating, the new value is now 220%.
- The Rejuvenating Totems’ healing over time effect is no longer determined by Numisu’s attack rating value. The healing over time effect for the ability ‘Rejuvenating Totem’ now heals 3% of the healing target’s max health per second.
- Optimized the summoning locations of the ‘Rejuvenating Totem’ ability. Rejuvenating totems will now be summoned in locations that are more difficult to attack.
- Adjusted the health values of Offensive Totems. Offensive Totem health values were previously equal to 450%/500%/550% of Numisu’s attack rating per each respective level. The new health value for all levels of this ability is now equal to 650% of Numisu’s attack rating.
- Optimized ability descriptions so that they now display clear values.
- Vurk - The Devious
- Piercing Bolt - Raised the damage coefficient from 120%/130%/140%/150% up to 140%/150%/170%/170% per each respective skill level.
- Piercing Bolt - Bolts now deal 10% less damage per each subsequent enemy that they pass through instead of the previous 5% damage.
- Piercing Bolt - Level 4 of this ability now allows Vurk to recover 40 additional energy points per struck enemy when striking multiple enemies instead of the previous 30 points.
- Invisibility - Increased the duration for which Vurk is invisible for from 6/6/7 seconds up to 8/8/10 seconds per each respective skill level.
- Piercing Bolt - Optimized the ability description.

- Rabid Thirst - Raised the ability’s Life Leech effects from 10/10/15 points up to 15/15/18 points per each respective skill level.
- Rabid Thirst Level 2 - Raised the Life Leech effects received by allies belonging to same faction as Khasos from 6 points up to 10 points.
- Baden - The Abomination
- Phantom Strike - Attributes inherited by phantoms have been raised from 65%/65%/75%/75% up to 70%/70%/80%/80% per each respective skill level. Damage received by phantoms has been reduced from 250% down to 220%.
- Phantom Assassin - Attributes inherited by phantoms have increased from 85% up to 90%. Damage received by phantoms has been reduced from 180%/180%/140% down to 150%/150%/130% per each respective skill level.
- Kaz - Hand of the Wood
- Assassinate - Optimized the ability description.
- Assassinate - Raised ability damage from 200% up to 250%
- Feline Finesse - Raised dodge point bonuses from 60/60/80 up to 70/70/100 per each respective skill level.

Added the new ‘Elder Tree’ feature to the Library which can be unlocked after completing campaign stage 8-40. Players can level up the Elder Tree to increase all of their heroes’ attributes. After reaching a certain Elder Tree level and completing stage 12-40 players will be able to unlock the ‘Dura’s Virtues’ feature on the Elder Tree. Each ‘Virtue’ branch of the corresponds to a particular type of hero class.

Added the new ‘Twisted Realm’ feature which can be found within the Guild Grounds that can be unlocked after completing stage 12-40. Players can battle against powerful bosses within the Twisted Realm to acquire rewards. Due to the countdown timer being linked with the Arcane Labyrinth’s own countdown timer, it is possible that at the time of this update that the remaining playable time is less than the normal 48 hours, which is stated in the Twisted Ream rules.

Added a new hero skin system. Players can view hero skins on the ‘Heroes’ page. Only heroes which have upgradable skins will have the ‘Skins’ option available.

Added the ‘Blazefury’ skin for Brutus. Players can complete stage three of the ‘Assembly of Heroes’ event to acquire it.

- Arena Challenger Tickets can now be sold for a set amount of gold.

Greetings, AFK Arena players and fans!
It’s been one year since the official global launch of AFK Arena! My name is Don, and as the producer of AFK Arena, I’d like to thank you for your support and also apologize for not getting in touch with the community enough!
First of all, I’d like to say it’s an honor and a privilege to have such a devoted and enthusiastic player base. During the early days of development I would never have dreamed that we would see such strong support! Of course, as relatively inexperienced developers, we’ve received our fair share of criticism as well. But we’ve always tried our best to maintain an honest and open channel of communication with our players and that’s why we would like to shed some more light on the direction that AFK Arena will be taking in its next year of development. We hope to hear your honest feedback on these planned changes.
Events and Daily Perks
As AFK Arena was developed with casual gameplay in mind, the majority of new content has been geared towards PvE aspects and less towards player events, which take up a relatively smaller proportion of our development time. Thus, starting from the One Year Anniversary event, we plan on increasing the frequency of player events as well as the quantity and value of rewards that these events will have to offer. This will include changes such as increasing the amount of heroes that can be claimed in an event and rewarding players with daily login rewards and other simple, easy-to-complete tasks. We hope these changes will allow players to gain more resources without needing to spend more time or energy grinding away at frivolous tasks. Of course, these changes will require some time to implement, but we hope to take our first major step with the One Year Anniversary.
In addition, we also have plans to increase the value of our compensatory rewards. For server maintenance and hotfix downtime, we will be increasing the amount of diamonds from 300 up to 600 for every hour of downtime. We’ll also be upping the amount and value of the redemption code rewards that are sent out during special holiday events.
Plans For The Future
We’ve heard frequent complaints about the game being too “Pay-To-Win”, about players getting stuck at certain stages, and about there not being enough game content in general. For this reason, we are considering making some significant adjustments to mid to late game play. In the future we expect to change the amount and the value of rewards linked directly to main campaign progression. Put simply, the farther a player progresses in the campaign, the more and better rewards they’ll receive. Example changes might include increasing the amount of rewards received in features such as the Bounty Board, Daily Quests, the Arena of Heroes, Arcane Labyrinth, Twisted Realm, Guild Hunts and more, with the end result of these new changes being that players can enjoy a faster and smoother gaming experience.
Aside from the progression-based reward changes we have planned, we also intend to increase the number of available heroes that can be found within the Labyrinth Store and Legends' Challenger Store–among other places–which will make it easy for players to obtain much needed heroes. This particular change will be coming as early as April, when we will add four heroes to the stores. You’ll have to wait until April to see which heroes they are though!
Another feature we’d like to introduce to the game is a personalized reward feature that will allow players to choose from a range of rewards that they’d like to receive from quests. For example, if a player chooses a certain reward, the quest they must undertake will be directly based upon that reward’s worth. The value of these available quest rewards will also be increased based upon a player’s campaign progression.
Some of the plans mentioned above are already in development, while others are still being discussed. Going forward, we will continue to be open and forthright about any changes to these ideas as well as any future plans that may be in the pipeline. We’ve gained a tremendous amount of development experience by working on AFK Arena over the past year, and none of that would have been possible without so many devoted players.

Vibrant Blooms Reward Bug

We have discovered a bug that was allowing players which had not logged into the game for an extended period of time to acquire more than the standard amount of Vibrant Blooms from the AFK Rewards feature.
This issue has now been resolved. In order to maintain a fair and level playing field we have decided to roll back the progress of the 833 affected player profiles, which had unfairly obtained more than 600 Vibrant Blooms, to how they were before this issue occurred (UTC 2020/4/11 - 14:35).
Due to this issue, all players will be compensated with 600 Vibrant Blooms. Those players that acquired fewer than 600 Vibrant Blooms as a result of this bug will be compensated an amount that equals a total number of 600 Vibrant Blooms. Due to the large amount of data that needs to be processed, these rewards will be sent out gradually over the course of the next 48 hours.

- Fixed an issue that was preventing Wu Kong’s clones from correctly triggering the Elder Tree ability “Shattering Force”.

- Fixed an issue where Kelthur’s ability “Ethereal Resurgence” would prevent Elder Tree abilities from being used.

- Fixed an issue that was preventing the ability “Piercing Bolt” from being used as a normal attack after it had been unlocked.

Mehira Adjustments Notice
In our last hotfix we fixed an issue that was causing Mehira to deal excessive amounts of damage to the bosses within the Abyssal Expedition. Due to this issue, many players used the Stargazer to acquire Mehira, believing that this damage anomaly was actually intended. All players that acquired Mehira via the Stargazer between May 23rd UTC 00:00 - June 1st UTC 12:00 will be able to exchange Mehira for a Hero Choice Chest and choose any of the Stargazer heroes currently available. If you have already ascended your Mehira, you will be given an equivalent quantity of Elite tier Mehiras. Any Mehiras obtained via the Stargazer during the time mentioned above that were not ascended can be exchanged for the equivalent quantity Hero Choice Chests. All resources used to level up your Mehiras will be placed back in your bag.
We are currently working on this feature. Once work on this feature has been completed, those eligible (mentioned above) will receive a mystery gift code. Entering the gift code will verify the player’s identity and they will be granted the compensation that was mentioned above.
In addition, as a result of this issue some players maybe have leveled up the wrong Relic Class, affecting their final Noble Title rank. For this reason we will be keeping the Abyssal Expedition open for 2 more days to ensure that players have time to adjust their Relic leveling strategies accordingly.

• Fixed an issue that was preventing the shield produced by the ability “Royal Charge” from being correctly dispersed. -
Eironn - Stormsword
• Fixing an issue with Eironn in the previous update resulted in a new issue, that would cause Eironn’s enemies to be knocked back too far when using his ability ‘Twin Force’. As of now, Eironn has been reverted back to before the previous update. The knockback distance on enemies is once again determined by the enemy’s own Haste attribute.

- Added a new feature called “The Oak Inn”, which can be found on the ‘Ranhorn’ tab. After completing Chapter 4, players will be able to visit and collect gifts from friends that are already occupying their own Oak Inn. Players that possess Ascended tier heroes and have completed Chapter 17 of the campaign are able unlock their own Oak Inn. Once unlocked, players can move their Ascended heroes into the Oak Inn. Heroes residing within the Oak Inn can accumulate ‘Furniture’, which will give their heroes new abilities and increased stats.
- Added the ‘Field of Stars’ feature to the Library. Players can unlock different ‘Starbursts’ within the Library that will enable them to enjoy a variety of different bonuses.
- Added a new monthly limited-quantity “Hero Choice Pack” to the Noble Tavern, which can be activated by unlocking a specific “Starburst” within the Field of Stars feature. All heroes within the “Hero Choice Pack” are available with the exception of Celestial, Hypogean and Dimensional faction heroes.
- Added the new Voyage of Wonders adventure: Track of the Sands, which will be available from
2020/07/17 00:00 UTC. - Added the adventure ‘Fields of Stone’ to the ‘Wandering Balloon’ feature, which can be unlocked after completing Stage 20-50.
- Added a new x4 Battle Speed function to the Arcane Labyrinth, which can be unlocked after completing Chapter 21 or reaching VIP level 11.
- Added the choice to pause and leave battles within the Twisted Realm feature. Leaving a battle will still exhaust battle attempts.
- Increased the amount of Hero Experience, Hero’s Essence, and gold coins included in all Limited Offers available from completing Chapter 22 or higher, reaching Player Level 110 or higher, or upgrading the Resonating Crystal to Level 260 or higher. Following the update, players who purchased Limited Offers before the adjustment will receive compensation equivalent to the difference in rewards.

- Added the game feature the ‘Misty Valley’, which will be available from
2020/08/01 00:00 UTC. - Added the adventure ‘Highburn Stronghold’ to the ‘Wandering Balloon’ feature, which can be unlocked after completing Stage 21-20.
- Added a new chapter to the campaign - Chapter 35 - Reef of Wreckages, while also having adjusted the difficulty for certain stages of chapter 34.
- Added another 100 new floors to the King's Tower, making the total number of floors 700, while also reducing the difficulty of floors around floor 600.
- Players can now climb up to 450 floors within each respective tower of the Towers of Esperia. We have also reduced the difficulty of floors around floor 360.
- A pre-battle formation lock-in period has been added for Legends’ Championship. Once locked in, formations can’t be changed. Spectators can check the formations and adjust their chosen Battle Wager.
- Improved the look of the Oak Inn as well as many of the Oak Inn interactions, and added a furniture recycling feature which enables the recycling of furniture in batches.
- The battle completion screen has been improved with better end of battle combat statistics, so now players can directly adopt other players line-ups.
- Stargazer will no longer change the player’s chosen Hero with the daily refresh.
- The player details UI now has an Inn button that will take you to the inn.
- Improved the logic of ‘Auto-select’ function for enhancing gear.
- Alerts to notify players of insufficient resources have been improved.
- In the King's Tower and some other playable levels currently, some enemies are shown to be wearing Signature Items, yet the item was actually ineffective. Once this update goes live, this will be fixed by removing enemy Signature Items. The overall displayed Attack Rating of enemies affected by this change will fall as a result, and will now be displayed correctly. The difficulty of the level will not be changed.
- Fixed an issue where the overall displayed Attack Rating of enemies is lower than the actual value in some stages of Campaign Chapter 31 and later. The difficulty of the stage will not be changed.

- Optimized the visual effects of his animations and increased his character model’s resolution when in high-detail mode.
- Made a small reduction to the animation time of his abilities ‘Divine Strike’, ‘Divine Blessing’ and ‘Heaven’s Protection.’

Abyssal Expedition Optimizations
- Added Honorable and Casual enrollment methods to the Abyssal Expedition. Honorable enrollment requires diamonds to enroll, however, once a player reaches a certain title during the event season, they will be able to claim back up to double the amount of diamonds that they had originally spent. Casual enrollment is free, but players do not have the opportunity to claim the additional diamond reward. Honorable and Casual enrollees shall also not be matched with one another during the event.
- The event has now been extended to 16 days, with the final 24 hours becoming a "Quiet Time", which allows players to play normally, however, due to the malevolent effects of the evil Zolrath, settlement resources and Stamina cannot be generated during this time.
- Adjusted title rewards. Rewards will be confirmed with the commencement of each new season.
- Added a "Server Heroics" feature. After the first player on any server has completed a specified task, all other players participating in the Abyssal Expedition will be eligible to claim the reward for this task.
- Added the Militia Damage Leaderboard and leaderboard reward. The top 100 Militias with the highest damage at the end of the event, which also meet the specified reward requirements, shall receive a "Guild Statue" reward that can be displayed in their Guild Grounds.
- Optimized the boss reward logic. Aside from the boss "The Devourer", dealing damage to other bosses or defeating minions shall reward players with Blessed Essence. Also, after defeating bosses, all Militia members will be able to utilize that structure, but it will not produce any resources.
- Added a new "Settle" feature which allows players to set up their own encampment on vacant tiles. If the encampment is directly connected to a boss' tile, the player will receive an additional 5% damage bonus against that boss.
- Added a new feature that allows tile coordinates to be shared in chat.
- Added Militia Leader and Militia Deputy ranks to Militias. Militia Leaders can change Militia names and emblems and both Militia Leaders and Militia Deputies are able to use the Militia Marker function.
- Added two new Gate Defenders: Satrana and Solise.
- Optimized Stamina slot rules. If a hero is removed from a slot due to being used as ascension material, their corresponding stamina shall also now be removed.
- More occupied settlements within the Forsaken Territories have been discovered.
- Reworked all Blessed Relic Tank abilities.
- Adjusted the Blessed Relic Mage Ability "Concentration".
- Fixed an issue that was preventing the signature items of several enemies within certain settlements from being effective, and adjusted the difficulty of certain settlements.

Previously triggering the effects of “Beguile” would only cause the closest enemy to Nemora to become entranced. After the optimization, the ability will take a few more moments to focus on multiple nearby enemy targets, so that the ability matches its description.
- The effects of the 9-piece Exclusive Furniture Ability “Winds of Harmony” shall not be triggered if enemies nearby to Nemora are currently in an un-targetable state. The effects shall be temporarily delayed up until the aforementioned enemies become targetable again or another enemy target, that meets the ability’s triggering requirement appears.
- When the effects of the Exclusive Furniture 9-piece set ability “Winds of Harmony” successfully entrances an enemy, the enemy will be immediately interrupted and unable to carry out their current actions.

Abyssal Expedition Optimizations
- Added a new "Militia Accolades" system to the Abyssal Expedition, where Militias can acquire militia rewards by completing specific quests. Militia members can use "Dragon Crystals" to acquire goods at a discount. Spent Dragon Crystals shall be converted into "Bound Dragon Crystals", which will then be shared amongst Militia Members. "Bound Dragon Crystals" can then be exchanged at the Store for a variety of items.
- Added a new "Trading Hub" structure to the Ranhorn page. Any Militia Rewards which were not purchased shall become available to purchase at the Trading Hub by all players on the server. Successful sales shall provide "Dragon Crystals", which shall be converted into "Bound Dragon Crystals" and shared amongst the Militia which the item originally belonged to.
- Made adjustments to the Abyssal Expedition Global Leaderboard Rewards. Rewards shall now include "Dragon Crystals".
- Optimized the Abyssal Expedition enrollment process by adding a 24 hour matching period between the pre-enrollment and official opening phases.
- Added two new Gate Defenders: Safiya - Daughter of the Desert and Wu Kong - The Monkey King.

Abyssal Expedition Optimizations
- Replaced the old map with a new map and also added new bosses to it. The new map possesses a new "Soul Bond" mechanism that links two bosses together, wherein one boss can be affected by the damage the other boss receives.
- Due to the implementation of the new map and bosses, this season shall be taken as a 'Beta' season, thus, there shall be no leaderboard or Militia Accolades rewards for this season. Rewards for personal 'Titles' shall remain in effect as before.

- Added a new Mage Class Exclusive Artifact called 'Windbinder', which can be acquired from the Trials of God - Highburn Stronghold instance.
- A new version of the Champions of Esperia and Twisted Bounties features has arrived! Players can now decide what type of rewards they want to use once they reach a Perk Level of 2. For specific reward details players can refer to the in-game descriptions. Players that already have access to the Twisted Bounties and Champions of Esperia features shall be able to start using the two new features once they have met the unlock requirements. The original, older versions of these features shall be denoted by an "Old" tag, and will still exist alongside the new versions. Once the older versions of the two features have both expired, they shall no longer be refreshable. All other rules for the two features remain the same as before.
- Changed the way multiple formation battles work in the campaign. Team formations can now be arranged individually before each battle. Players no longer need to start again from scratch if they lose a battle, so long as they don't exit the battle preparation screen. Once a player successfully beats an enemy team, they can then continue onto the next team.
- Moved the Dimensional Deals entrance from 'Merchants - Visiting Merchants' to 'Merchants - Heroic Ship'.
- Improved the performance and logic of some of the red markers.
- Added new achievements to the Achievement feature as well as the corresponding stickers and badges.
- Gear can now be strengthened more quickly and conveniently by tapping and holding down on the needed resources.
- Fixed a problem that was causing other players' Gear and Artifact information to be displayed incorrectly in the Legends' Challenger Tournament event.

- Players can now climb up to 480 floors within each respective tower within the King's Tower feature. Players are required to fight against multiple teams for the newly added floors.
- Heroes within the Arena of Trials will now uniformly equip level 30 Signature Items and possess 9 pieces of Mythic Furniture.
- Optimized the interactive logic of multi-team campaign stages.
- Added a new perk type for VIP levels 8 and above that grants certain battle bonuses within the Misty Valley.
- Optimized the ability description of the Relic "Dura's Eye", so that it is more consistent with its actual effects.
Abyssal Expedition Optimizations
- Before entering the map, players will be able to choose which side of the map they want to start on. Once a particular side is selected by 35 players, the side will no longer be available for selection.
- While within the Vault of Time, players can now view which tiles are linked to an ally's tiles by opening the "Map" located at the bottom right of the screen. Linked tiles are called "Linked" on the key and are displayed in green on the mini-map.
- Added a new "Resting" period that occurs after a player occupies a tile. During the resting period, other Militia members will not be able to attack any tiles that are adjacent to the recently occupied tile, however, the tile occupier can skip the resting period manually if they choose to.
- Adjusted the locations of some settlements, making them more condensed than before.
- Adjusted the health values of the final bosses. Boss Albedo's health has been reduced by 20% and Boss Ainz' health has been increased by 20%.
- Reworked the Mage Relic ability "Recharge" which is now called "Absorb". For specifics, please view the in-game ability description.
- Removed several enemy formations that were difficult to defeat and added formations that include heroes that were released more recently.
- Adjusted the contents of some Militia Rewards within the Militia Accolades feature.
- Adjusted the prices of several Militia Rewards found in the Trading Hub.

If there are multiple characters available during the same IP crossover event series, the first character purchased may enjoy an 85% discount, and the validity of the discount shall only be effective while said event is still running.

- Thane - The Exalted
- Fixed the Exclusive Furniture Ability “Swift Death”, which was failing to correctly raise the final number of attacks dealt by the Ultimate ability “Eviscerate”.
- Niru - The Whispering Doom
- Optimized the visual effects of Niru’s animations and effects, while also increasing his character model’s resolution. Ability animations for Niru have also been slightly sped up.
- The effects of the ability “Soul Reaper” now take slightly longer to occur once a character on the battlefield dies.
- Damage for the ability “Death Call” has been reduced from 250% down to 220%.
- Damage for the ability “Life Leech” has been reduced from 100%/100%/100%/140% down to 80%/80%/80%/110% for each respective skill level.

Both sets will be available on the Merchants page at the same time for players that still have an unpurchased and valid Newcomer’s Bundle available to them.
- Content for the “First Purchase” bundle has been revised. After the revised bundle has been implemented into the game, all players will be able to claim it after making a purchase of any amount within the game.
- If a player becomes stuck at a particular Dismal Maze stage within the Arcane Labyrinth, they can choose to refresh the enemy’s formation. A total of 3 refreshes can be used per round.
- The player limit for the Friends List has been raised to 40 players.
- Optimized the interactive experience of the Oak Inn’s furniture recycling feature.
- Players can now hold down on a hero’s avatar to view more detailed information about them within the battle log. Players will not be able to view detailed information for heroes that have been generated by the system.

2021/2/5 00:00 UTC. - Added the new “Fabled Realm” feature to the Twisted Realm. Players that meet the Resonating Crystal level requirement are able to enter the Fabled Realm. All members within the Fabled Realm shall have a division status of “Legend”.
- Adjusted the floor hierarchy logic for several floors of the Twisted Realm, as well as the damage and reward logic. As this is a big change, we shall be resetting the division damage data for all Twisted Realm bosses on
2021/1/25 00:00 UTC. After the reset, dynamic damage division shall be in effect for the first time each boss appears, after which the rules shall revert back to normal. - Added the boss “Grotesque Mage” to the Twisted Realm, who will appear on
2021/1/29 01:00 UTCfor the first time.
- Added a new “Reinforcements” event. While the event is running, players can select a hero from a pool of heroes to trial. This event shall commence when players login for the first time after
2021/1/27 00:00 UTC. For specifics, please refer to the in-game rules. - Added Subscription Privileges and VIP Perks to the Dismal Maze game mode. Players with active subscriptions shall receive +100% rewards instead of +80% rewards for the next Dismal Maze if they miss an Arcane Labyrinth, the total number of times missed rewards can be accumulated does not change. Players with a VIP level of 13 or higher will have an additional chance to accumulate missed rewards if they miss Arcane Labyrinths.
- The number of times Dura's Tears can be used within the Dismal Maze shall now be raised in accordance with how many times the Arcane Labyrinth has been missed.
- Players shall now receive 10 Companion Points each time they successfully loan out a hero as a mercenary. Players can receive a maximum of 50 Companion Points per week using this method.
- It is now possible to see which hero is equipping a certain Artifact by tapping on it within the player’s bag.
- Custom Legendary Furniture Scrolls can now be sold in bulk at the Workshop.
- Optimized the aesthetics of the Monthly Card chest.
- Fixed an issue that was causing Mercenary Combat Ratings to display values that were lower than their actual values.

Dimensional Keys can be equipped via the ‘Soul Fusion’ page, and players can acquire Dimensional Keys by unlocking Starbursts in the Obsidian Finch constellation.
- T1 and T2 Gear that do not possess any Factional Bonus Attributes can now be used as enhancement resources. Consuming the gear will return T1/T2 Stones.

- Corrected the description for the ability “Rejuvenating Totem”, which was inaccurate. Actual effects of this ability remain unchanged.

A new event called the Chasmic Altar is now available. Players can assail the boss “The Devourer” daily in return for rewards. When players on all servers have dealt a certain percentage of damage to the boss, the difficulty of Campaign Stages will be permanently reduced. For more specifics please refer to the in-game rules. The Chasmic Altar event shall be available from 2021/4/28 00:00 UTC.

Added the adventure “The Hunting Trail" to the Voyage of Wonders feature, which will be available from2021/5/6 00:00 UTC.

Added the adventure “The Hazy Timberland” to the Trials of God feature. Players can unlock this adventure by completing Stage 33-60 of the campaign and by completing 100% of the same adventure found within the Wandering Balloon.

Added a new Warrior Class Exclusive Artifact called “Pauldron of Burning Fury”, which can be acquired from the Trials of God - The Hazy Timberland instance.

All three Battle Pass (Twisted Bounties, Regal Rewards, Champions of Esperia) Perk Levels have been raised. The initial level has been raised to 3, with the maximum level now being 6. When reaching the unlock requirements after this update goes live, players that possess level 1 and 2 Battle Passes will be able to directly unlock a new level 3 Battle Pass. Players that already possess a Battle Pass between levels 3-5 will be able to respectively unlock a new Battle Pass with levels of 4-6. Battle Passes that are labeled as “(Old)” will exist alongside the new Battle Pass, but shall no longer be refreshable. All other rules for this feature remain unchanged.

The dark, searing flames raged. Talene saw the vulnerable Astar stand between her and the looming Hypogean as if she was back to the day of her mother's death. Under fierce attacks from Framton, Talene collapsed onto the ground, her shield shattered. Even the flames above her head were spluttering, all but extinguished. 😔
Astar threw herself onto Talene and began pouring all her own flames into Talene's body. The bright cleansing flame was reignited, piercing the purple demonic glare, melting away the Hypogean fire like snow under the burning sun.
The Solaris Flare finally shone over Esperia, and the last of the Phoenixes was reborn, yet again. 🔥
*Talene - the Resurging Flame is a new Awakened Hero that's separate from the original Talene.

The Adventure Continues — A Letter of Thanks from Don, 2021
Season’s greetings, everyone! I’m AFK Arena’s producer, Don.
It has been a while since I last wrote to you all, but I am always in the forums, closely following the discussions. Some of the more active players feel like old friends to me, and when any familiar ID goes quiet, I feel their absence deeply.
We set out to create a journey for adventurers and heroes to meet each other, stories of people solving problems together. Looking back on the last two years, we realized that these stories have a timeless theme—a testament to each other’s growth, a sense of duty and responsibility, and a life spent in pursuit of something more. It was this magical world of adventures that helped us through these two years together.
Being friends with our players has always been our business philosophy. You could say it has even become part of our doctrine. Interacting with you pushes us to grow, and while we are working to make strides in game design, we also want to keep our hearts and our ears open for our players.
Talene - The Resurging Flame was a relatively bold experiment for us. As an all-new card, Talene - The Resurging Flame is vastly different from Talene in terms of skill design and position. We did not intend for her to be a replacement for Talene. Rather, we wanted to give players more opportunities to strategize, to enjoy a greater variety of options for different circumstances.
We want to tightly control the rate at which new heroes are introduced. We are currently working to have one every two to three months. Other than Celestials, there will also be Awakened Heroes from the four common factions. Due to a powerful combination of hero skills, we decided to add limits to how Awakened heroes are used, for example, an Awakened hero cannot be placed on the same team as its original, non-Awakened counterpart. The original frequency for new cards will not change, but Awakened heroes and traditional heroes will not be released together. Future Awakened heroes and storytelling will be inextricably connected, just like with Talene - The Resurging Flame. We hope to become true storytellers, to bring people an emotional connection to our heroes, a value outside of their battle stats.
Other than the many emblems coming out in the upcoming events (Awakened hero summon scrolls), you will also be able to get emblems in the following ways:
- Exchange a limited amount daily at the Store
- Reach a designated floor in the Celestial Tower
- Emblems have been added to the Deluxe Monthly Card added as a new option
After the first Awakened hero from each faction is released, tower quests to earn their corresponding emblems will become available. We hope everyone will see just how brightly the first Awakened hero, Talene - The Resurging Flame, really shines as you fight together.
There are a few more things we would like to chat about with everyone. We would like to introduce a new playing style for the Arena of Heroes to make it more fun and less mechanical. We are also considering relaxing the restrictions for access to the Cursed Realm and adding a Battle Wager system to it. We welcome everyone’s feedback and suggestions!
I would like to give my heartfelt thanks to those who have stuck with us these past two years and everyone who has played or followed AFK Arena. I am delighted and honored to have come to know you all through this game.
A solo adventure is not a complete adventure, so, in 2022, I will join everybody in continuing to look forward to the endless possibilities and incredible imagination that AFK Arena can bring.

New Additions and Optimizations

The game mode "Isle of Gold" shall be available to play from <t:1644105600:f>. A new "Morale" mechanic has been added to this game mode. Players can increase their Morale by building structures on their islands. Having high Morale grants additional rewards to Pillagers. For more details please refer to the in-game rules.

Added the adventure “The Sunken City” to the Voyage of Wonders feature, which will be available from <t:1644278400:f>.

Players can now climb up to 780 floors within each of the 4-Faction Towers. Simultaneously, the difficulty of some floors between 720 and 750 has also been reduced.

Reduced the difficulty of certain floors between 1250 and 1300 of the King's Tower, and also added more floors, bringing the total number of floors to 1350.

Reduced the difficulty of certain floors between 480 and 500 of the Celestial Sanctum and Infernal Fortress, and also added more floors, bringing the total number of floors to 520 for both towers.

A new Misty Valley season will commence on <t:1644019200:f>. This time the reward slots for the Misty Valley Treasure Trove have been expanded. Players successively unlock these rewards by completing Campaign Chapters 37 through 41.

Adjusted the level requirements for participating in the Cursed Realm, which shall take effect during this update's Cursed Realm session. Dynamic divisions will be in effect during this update's first Cursed Realm session. A division's target damage will change according to the number of players that reach the target damage. Finalized divisions will be determined once results have been calculated. Once this dynamic session of the Cursed Realm has ended, static divisions will resume, and players will be able to enter new divisions by reaching the fixed damage target for each respective division.

A new quest has been added to Daily Quests, which requires players to claim "Oak Inn" gifts from their friends. New Weekly Quests have also been added, which require players to draw Furniture, and complete challenges in the Twisted Realm.

A new Eternal Engravings popularity leaderboard has been added to the Popular Formations page.

Players that have already unlocked the Sweep function can now make use of it during Guild Hunting, doing so will deduct all remaining attempts and grant all rewards.

It is now possible to use the "Rapid Strengthen" function when leveling up a hero's Eternal Engraving level.

Signature Items can now be strengthened more quickly by tapping and holding the Strengthen button.

Gifts from friends within the Oak Inn can now all be claimed with the tap of a button.

It is now possible to use multiple Custom Furniture Scrolls at once to acquire Mythic furniture at the Oak Inn.

Added new Legends’ Championship frames to the Road to Glory.

- Astar - The Brilliant Flame
- Fixed an issue that would sometimes cause the Ultimate skill "Life Sparks" to incorrectly target the wrong area due to a movement speed bonus.
- Scarlet - The Arcane Shadow
- Optimized the skill icon for the skill "Arcane Absorption".
- Seer of Destiny Merlin
- Fixed an issue which would cause a visual anomaly to occur in certain circumstances when Merlin would reappear after his ally died while he was in spirit form when using the skill “Guardian Owl”.

Finally, you all can let loose your pent-up creativity and ideas! We're opening up the opportunity to add new emojis and stickers to the community, and we'll be doing it with a bang thanks to the chance for submissions to gain some sweet sweet in-game rewards!
Your emoji/sticker must be an original creation (but can be something you created prior to the event that you've been holding on to until this chance).
The best emoji and best sticker submissions (1 of each type) will receive 5000 . 20 more of our favorite stickers and 30 more of our favorite emojis will be able to receive 2000 . All of these chosen submissions will also be added to the Discord for members to be able to use in the future.
Best of all, if you're one of the first 200 or so submissions in the event, you'll be able to receive a small consolation prize of 300 just for participating, as long as your submission doesn't breach any event rules/guidelines, which will be posted in full in the event channels.
While multiple submissions will be allowed, each person will only be eligible for one reward, whichever is highest in value.
