but different events == different values

you can be mathematically correct and say like welp in terms of value/spent a t2 stone might be better, but compared to the t2 stone the emblems give me 8x the amount of stats on my hero

go for the purple till you have purple overflow
then swap to gold
then swap to reds

thing is also like you get purples from expedition a bit, you get them easier everywhere - but aslong as you need necessary +10s or atleast have like good options for +10s dont sleep on it

its not about the +10 carrying you its about the distance you make for making that unit worth it on the long run

suddenly you ha ve someday gold overflow and see an option to +20 f.e. ferael that is already +10

and then you use the +20 ferael and notice dang +20 ferael aint that bad

if you look at it now with better +20s in mind for sure he is not that worth it atm and not the prio

but if you always go for the most efficient choices you'll end up quicker with overflow then if you go for the most convenient choices which will bleed you out

consistency in good values is the differences and make and break

you'll outpace small and mid spenders by taking better options some day by doing the right thing

Selene, Lucretia and Talene are currently the best "single" heroes that are stargazeable

selene is overall great
lucretia rather for campaign
and talene is an allrounder that does specially good on some bossing stuff like dream realm

its like with pippa or eironn - for sure great heroes but you cant use them everywhere - but ur right on the lightning arrow

i just personally think with a bit of tweaking in the comp you could put the cc on the frontline, a little less buffers since walker doesnt require f.e. a rosa and have something more stable with similar dmg but less antiheal

i think as f2p you might be able to use him up to 60-90 diff till you get to like a3 / a5 stuff thats +20 in campaign

so the problem is the base value of an epic hero diminishes, because its just not survivable enough to work as one copy

zaph damage link from the cloud - will always be useful even for another carry like gwyneth (normal lightbearer hero)

so far most folks went with talene as far as im aware because we have like a 2nd campaign thats death based

talene fit so far quite well into pvp comps

and talene also does well on some guild hunts / and dream realm bosses

personally i think selene is better on the upper end

aswell as haelus too

but like on my f2p I have a mythic talene and now a mythic+ lucretia

you cant really build a lot of cele/hypos as f2p

the general ebst thing you can do is to just save up 1000+ sg cards because pity is 66

so you can hopefully pull enough for 24 copies (worst case 1584 sg cards needed) - but usally much less

++ sometimes random summons in the tavern from scrolls

I’m a fresh player myself, but seeing as no one else is giving advice… from what I’ve gathered, you want to focus your food within a faction on a singular hero and get them ascended asap. To ascend someone you need 8 copies of them. So kinda look out and wait for the copies so you don’t have to spread your food.
And check the tier list for which heroes are good to build

If you are very early game then spending them is okay as you can get alot of them easily in the start and you need the hero copies to advance and get more and regarding the collabs, the collabs stay for alot of time so you can saving while they are active or you can start saving when they are announced on the discord server

Focus on wilders, they are best faction and only ascend characters if you have atleast 8 copies of them to not waste fodders and have characters stuck on gold

Look now is a tricky as they said above the collab is supposed to be coming this month and you need lots of diamonds to get something worth it from them but at same time you are in the very early game so spending is a bit normal so in my opinion spend if you feel stuck in progress but other than that, try to save up
