the system in companions makes it so until either the f2p or spender hits an A they are on the same path
the f2p could hit first time the whale could hit first time could take them 100 times each the only difference is time
reso 18 was hugely time gated because of how many copies you needed vs how many baits were given and it wasnt a 1 to 1 ratio like it is in this game
therefore the time gating is gonna be random for spenders and f2p which favours f2p cause you dont have the diminishing returns of the more you dont hit the more you have to spend making everything you buy more expensive the longer you go without hitting
