Slightly pissed I missed out on the festival in shimokitazawa today. Didn't realise the daytime shows were until 10:30pm (only found about it last night), so when I arrived at 8:30ish at the station it wasn't really worth paying the 7200yen

In terms of traveling there you're gonna go through Kamakura station, no way around that I think

oh you can just get off at kamakura, it's pretty much the center of all the temples in the area

yukinoshita seems to be the main temple everyone is going to, after that you can walk around to other temples from there

the bamboo forest was kind of underwhelming for me, pretty small but it's quiet, and there's a 300yen fee to enter the forest

at kencho-ji, there's the ten-en hiking course that will take you through a bunch of steps, if you feel adventurous and got the stamina, I recommend the hike, the view at the top is worth it

A single shinkansen ride essentially pays for the entire 7 day pass IIRC (last time I did it was 4 years ago so idk if prices have changed)

There will be elevators that take you up there - if you exit out the JR South side, turn right, take 2 escalators up, cross over the bridge/walkway, and then keep going past the big hole and Ginza line, there will be a bank of elevators on the left that'll take you up to 7F. If you end up outside you've walked past the elevators.

If that's too confusing then use google maps lol
