Nice to have
1-3 Lava Sprouts. Helps a lot with gaming and cheap for the first few
1-4 Davey Jones Training. This speeds up your Sailing and the artifacts are very significant for your account progression. But don't go too crazy, I would not recommend going more than 4/5 at most. Eventually you will finish sailing. They are very cheap for how impactful they are, though.
1-2 Divinity Spar. This is a huge time sink in World 5+, but don't spend too many. Eventually you will get all gods.

Probably Fine
A few Chest Slug. Once you get more ships you will regularly "overcap" chests, but you shouldn't really need to buy more slots until you have most of your fleet already.

Yea. You really want to be focusing on Lab as much as possible. I went through that phase like 3 weeks ago, and it is definintely worth it.

The reason is because once you hit World 5, then you (eventually) unlock a way to have everyone permanently linked to lab so you will get the bonuses permanently. And you want to have your guys already with the lab levels to link up to the big bonuses. The Barn is whatever, but the next 5 Lab nodes are massive, massive account improvements. ANd specifically "Killer's Brightside" makes your active character literally twice as good
