this entire time for 6 MONTHS i was getting like 2000-4000 critters per trap ONCE per day, then someone just asked me to re-place the traps but with BM and suddenly im getting 200000 per trap each 10 HOURS, so TWICE per day

I think what you are looking are two seperate builds for seperate progressions levels. If you have your refinery merit upgrade, it becomes much better to go for blue salts because it will cost less orange salts. Otherwise it's not worth to go for rank 2 on blue salts. Just get enough for auto trapper and you're good.
