I went from 3-4 eclipse skull to all W1-W6 eclipse skulled in 2 days, there's no need for a Jocund to achieve that.
Jocund can help you push twice faster (if not additive, can't say), but it's mostly helpfull for gmush/gloomie and other bonuses scaling on kill count

About the multiplicative/additive, I really believe I had a flat x1.5 when I got squirrel, so I believe jocund is multiplicative. Maybe Jocund and Squirrel share the same multiplier, so x1.5 + x2 would result in x(1+.5+1)=x2.5 and not 1.5*2=x3, but that's still good

For his case offering a balloonfish in-game or in discord will bring in more value and make it easier since it's more sought after than the rest of the pets, might be wrong though remains my perspective of seeing things

And if you're long terme, keeping like 2 tradable balloonfish will get you all the pets when next rotation comes out and newcomers wake up :°
