a few chest slugs / lava sprouts / divinity sparkies can be helpful, but not 100% necessary. depends on your gem income and what you still havent bought

I wouldn't go for chests or sprouts early on. Maybe a sparkie since they're somewhat cheap. But if you don't have many gems, saving for Hole or W6 is generally better

Because AFK and active are two different things. AFK calculates a bunch of variables together to give a certain kill count. Active is just... actively killing things.

They're never going to be equal.

Mushroom: Expect afk claim times in the 45 minute range for 30x DR, 2 hours for 20x, 3 hours for 12x (multiply these times by however many "bundles" of statues you want)

Golem: Expect afk claim times in the 6-8 hour range for 30x DR, 10-15 hours for 20x, 20+ for 12x

TL;DR - More DR equals shorter times to claim, more MK means more statues per claim (prio MK, don't use DR prayer).

Your initial goal is just to unlock slots for new boats/captains and fill them up
As gold allows, swap worse captains with better ones
Early stats to prioritize are usually speed/speed -> speed/loot -> loot/loot (swap as you gain more speed from external sources)

Don't forget that rare captains only increase the max value that their stats can roll, so make sure you click on everyone to check (IT will give you an alert for better captains of the same stats)

I would ignore all of these tbh unless it's paired with good speed or loot and you're replacing someone with worse speed/loot

Reasons being:

• cloud is useless once you're done with clouds (and speed is often better for the later clouds)
• Artifact is useless if you don't get an artifact (and chances are really low, better to just get more loot)
• Rare chest is the absolute worst, don't ever try to get it

To get artifacts, open as many chests as you possibly can, regardless of their level
