But ranking up won't help because you consume 24 red a cycle

To have any you would need to turn off blue which I wouldn't because of how important ranking up green is

To not run on a deficit of any combustion salts you need red at 16 and orange at 9

When should I be resetting the Bell in the Hole?
At Engineering Level 11, you will unlock the 'Triple Tap Tinkle' schematic which gives a higher chance at +2 levels per ring with a new chance of +3 levels per ring. This is the first point at which it is recommended to do a Bell Reset.
Afterwards, you would only want/need to reset if the bonuses provided by Bell Rings have rng-ed into a bonus you do not want or failed to provide desired levels in a bonus you do want. Alternatively, you can view the average levels per ring you've received through a resource like !review (AutoReview) to see if you would want to try to gamble for more levels/ring.
With the release of C11-15, there are 2 new bonuses in addition to Studies which provide massive bonus levels for every 20 rings. Resetting the bell likely will become very important to RNG into proper bonuses from here on out.

Like, it may be slightly worth putting some alternative (non-cavern) progress on halt and focusing on the rewards for cavern a little. But it depends on what sailing, cooking, gaming, summoning looks like, if you're getting anything good soon that will be hugely beneficial or not.

You're comparing yourself to people who min max a lot, but do keep in mind the Measure multi (the all skills) is not linear or diminishing, its actually exponential.
1.99x is 20k levels
8.24x is 47k levels

So each level is worth more and more in that multi. Everything goes hand in hand, don't compare yourself too much with stuff like this, but do think about the small things if you care "where can i get some easy free levels"

Yeh thats decent for Explorer, since 13 + 14 arnt in yet, 14 may come soon, 15 is in but a while away.
So since you do have villager 5 from C12 (tree) definietely try and focus on getting studies level up a bit,

Get at least (not particularly in order, but bravery is a big must)
1 Level into Bravery ASAP,
1 level into Harp for 2x string XP might be helpful to you without knowing too much.
1 Level into Well, since it looks like you might still need some ore for measure?
Some levels for bell, bell and bravery will be the ones you will be pushing a bunch early on.

1 into den gives a lot more score very easily (opals in your case as your still lowish)
1 level for justice is a big QoL of not having to do it as often, but in your case i would still try and do it.

Mantra can be good after you've unlocked those and are still afking with 8+ people, imo
