No. Unfortunately, you didn't discover some crazy time loop.
The game displays all AFK claims rounded up to next whole hour, but only provides benefits for the actual time you AFKed. So if you AFK for 2 minutes, the game will show 1 HR on a claim but your benefits are only for those 2 minutes.
You've probably heard the term "2 minute claims" thrown around here quite often. The concept of "2 minute claims" only applies to two situations: a) 2 minute claims only on archers to maximize your forge procs utilizing a high KPH map using the Smeltin' Every Day talent or b) 2 minute claims on any class to maximize genes from utilizing DNA splicers. Outside of these 2 situations, there are no "2 minute claims".

Only real way to "max" omniphau is if you're doing 4hr sailing claims. Then it'd be best to claim ~4 hrs so you have max chests waiting. and you don't "lose" time if you say, waited 8hrs and got a sailing proc. And every time you log in, make sure to go claim sailing, etc. etc.

so i unlocked this whole style for my divinities which gives + 1 exp per hour to all my charachters. i switched 5 charachters to it, and have 1 charachter which is running at the + 2 exp per hour cause shes not level 15 yet.
heres the problem: the 5 charachters which run on the + 1 exp for everyone, receive 5 exp per hour, despite me having + 75 % divinity exp gain from the gem shop. meanwhile the charachter which ran on + 2 per hour, received 17 exp per after 1 hour. something doesnt add up here.

Mantra works a bit differently compared to other Divinity styles. The gains of having all ten characters on mantra will not visually show up in neither afk info screen, nor afk claim screen.

In order for your characters to get their fair share of shared exp, you start by first claiming the afk time of a mantra character. The game, upon claiming afk mantra time, will then calculate what should be sent to the rest of your characters. However, that shared exp also does not show up on the remaining characters afk claim screen, but it does get added to your divinity exp bar none the less!
The easiest way to make sure mantra is working for you is to claim all afk time on all mantra characters, and watch your exp bars on the rest of your characters go up.

(Shared exp from the bubos lab talent also works the same way! Gotta claim your bubo first to let the game know how much exp should be shared)
