The reason you want it at 100% via vial mastery is it's a chance. With 90% you could get double or not, it's not a 90% increase.
You don't need it to onyx, rather deposit. Making them onyx is unaffected.

I am working my way through Sov artifacts and my find chance is 30.89. I was getting between 1-2% chance to find an artifact then I started working on the 3 shiny pets that give artifact find chance. IMPORTANT: have atom cost reduction when you're starting to produce atoms

1. loot capacity. sailing artifacts are main w5 progression
2. w5 skill xp. you'll be sitting on divinity for a while, and skill levels help so its good to get it started early
3. respawn. portals get huge in w5
4. boss armor. recommended to save 5 points in preparation for boss armor, that way you'll be able to unlock all the pieces without having to do additional tasks
5. tab4 talent points and star talent: you might be low on elite tab talent points and stats when you're new to w5 but there are other sources. you can prioritize these over boss armor if you're not confident in crafting later armor

something to keep in mind is that world 6 has spirit locks which requires x number of characters to be at and unlock portal in order to go past. so even if you were to finish w5, you will have to do full account backtrack to bring full roster up in line.
on the other hand, getting to w6 and simply starting the 3 town skills can get the time gate started so you can just sit in town doing skills while you catch up on rest at that point.
its something you can decide on, your choice
