It's not down the drain, but your actual multiplier is somewhere between the given value (minus the % symbol) and +1 of that value.
So for you, your multiplier is somewhere between x1 and x2 (x1.42). For me, my value is somewhere between x4 and x5 (actually x4.18)

Everytime suggma recipe subject comes up, I like to remind that you can expect to get 1000 suggma royal urn on average before getting the recipe. Suggma kills are affected by Multikill while suggma urns are not, so they're a pretty good way to track your "expected" progress

Yo so i did end up doing nm kattle with vman. I was able to pump my dmg up to 78B, but as long as you can one hit moles with autos and whip you can finish it. Focus on moles until the aoe skill goes off and hit boss until you need to focus mobs again. Dmg will help it be faster of course

No, rarer chests need to be brought back.
Arrowhead lets you select minimum chest quality that is kept though, so if you select gold chests with it, then all wooden and iron chests brought back are discarded
