The process is:
Kill as many bosses as u can with your strenght, then swap your stuff to mob respawn or whatever, get to a map use the multikill skill to get extra multikil and sample as many maps as u want. Then repeat if skill effect ends

Sailing: you kind of need to set your boats to islands that take a while, so you dont overflow your loot pile, before you can collect it. BUT you need to keep collecting treasures from the early islands, to spend on upgrades & stuff. ⛵
Those islands have short travel times; so they fill the pile quickly. so....what are you supposed to do?

Yeah wurms has always been a decent DK map. He can pretty consistenetly get 700-800 orb count

And ES scales better at higher portal count so wurms having the highest hp in the game means the lowest portal count so its techincally ES's worst map
