Had a demon hunt 3 times well above 80% (So not even close to 70%) but 0 abilities used.

at this point, it's hard to tell if it's a bug, b/c it was always in the game, they "fixed it", they were still unable to, and now since Chronicle we can see that Computer/TV/etc interctions are recorded as "Light interaction," so they seem to be coded as lights.

There is no time limit to Onryo's ability. It blow out 1 candle, wait 5 minutes, blow out another, burn a cruci/hunt/etc, then blow out a 3rd and use its ability hunt.

The salient timer for Onryo is that it is the only ghost that can blow out the same candle twice in under 20s.

Play on Nightmare/2ev, collect your evidence, then use the cheat sheet to compare the remaining ghosts.

You just gotta know how each ghost walk speed is and how much blinks it does and if it speeds up or slows down or loses sight of you immediately the easiest ghosts find out during a hunt in my opinion are deogens, Raiju, Thaye, Rev, obake, wraith(Because of salt), and Banshee if you are playing with multiple people and it goes after one.

Gotcha. So #1 then is sanity management: Spend most of your time in rooms with the lights on. Keep the ghost room dark to encourage activity, but don't just stand in the dark waiting for things to happen. You can stand in the next room over with the lights on then run into the ghost room to check stuff as needed (spirit box, EMF, temps, etc).

Video cam, thermo, and EMF are helpful for locating the ghost room (pretty much in that order, especially on Amateur). If you find Orbs, that's the ghost room and your first evidence. Ghosts will lower temps in whatever room they're in, so thermo can help there (though T1 thermo is slow an less accurate). Finally EMF can be helpful to chase down any interactions you might hear (a door was moved, which door was it?)

Yeah, good point, as you've prolly seen, too many lights on will trip the breaker. Turning lights on is good, but also get into the habit of turning them back off in rooms you're not going to be staying in

For beginners, its just an extra annoyance of running out of items (and playing with terrible items). For more advanced players it feels meaningless having hundreds of thousands+ with nothing to do and always able to use t3.

Revamp would be like, t2/t3 items default and t1 is for extra difficulty/challenges

Get a book down early, try spirit box, always check interactions for EMF5, check for UV whenever the ghost does something that can leave it, then usually set up DOTS and see if you have freezing temps by then (hopefully you brought in a thermo earlier)

in fact, @dry stag do this and open the door on your first trip. It'll spawn the ghost and allow it to start cooling its room, hopefully making it easier to find.

when ghost touches a door, confirm right door w/ EMF and check for UV. If using salt, you should be present when teh ghost goes through it and hear footsteps. Check for UV immediately (within 10 seconds).

• Has the same sound throughout the round

Monkey paw is the best for no sanity. You could wish for sanity to get to 50% for a bit if you wanted. Wish for knowledge when you're ready to leave. You get credit for the right ghost in Challenge even if you die.

Guys new twins test I find very easy (don’t flame me if this is already a technique please, I’m only level 53): if the ghost interacts with an object, check the temperature in that room. If the rooms temperature is normal, it’s the twins interacting with a separate room. I was able to complete a contract in 15 seconds with this technique.

It interacted with a lamp, I checked temp and it was 15° C. I then ran out to the truck and low and behold it was the twins

I don't think this is accurate as ghosts can interact w things outside the ghost room.
I have had hundreds of different times where they've interacted w things outside ghost room and it wasn't twins.

i noticed while playing tanglewood that during events where a ghost ordinarily would close the front door (without locking it ofc) the door move but not close all the way - it was an oni as well, not a yurei. it happened twice in one run, is that something that is intentional ? ive only had the front door fully close during events. just curious if i should test if its a bug or not!

Must have been an event, the only way the front door can close is events/ hunts. Outside of that its a yurei/ mimic yurei
