Oh, also some fun information I discovered after having my first basement ghost in new Tanglewood. The ghost can touch the train controls and leave UV, but photos of it don't work. They also put two freezer doors down there, which is nice for videos, but they don't show UV for some reason.

Honestly from what I've seen other people suggest, is to intentionally play by yourself and get hunted. Even if you can't guess the ghost and die atleast your getting use to that core mechanic so your not as scared

Go into your settings, set it to friendly ghosts but keep evidence on. When you play alone get used to the work flow of setting up equipment and doing investigations. Get confidence in your equipment then go in with normal investigations

If you are going for the swap rooms strategy, you'll need to put your sanity at 0% so the ghost has a 100% chance of changing if it finishes a long roam in a new room
Once you're confident enough it is in the correct room, raise your sanity to 100% so the ghost becomes unable to change fav rooms

can someone explain this. on grafton farm house, -6.8 in attic so thought it was the room. does nothing in the room via salt, motion sensor, etc, it events multiple times in doll room but the attic is still freezing. even asked the board and it said attic. Even turned off the lights right after turning them on but it was a shade.

hmmif i remember correctly and if nothing much has changed in the game, shades have higher chance of roaming outside the room if you are in the same room as it is.

also, the ouija board only says where the ghost currently is. the attic can be extremely cold if the weather was snowing, not sure tho if it would reach negative temps

Hey im curious to know if i just had a weird ghost or encountered a map issue. I played a round on the re-work of tangelwood and was getting the ghost to chase me for an objective. I found that even with my flashlight on and standing at the bottom of the basement stairs the ghost never ever once found me. It was an onryo so i know its not a yoki or mimic related situation. Just wondering what everyone else has been experincing?

keep the lights off in the ghost room, so it can do stuff, but keep the lights on in the areas leading up to the ghost room from the front door or wherever you hang out. stay in the lit areas, watch from outside the ghost room to manage your sanity and get more time before hunts start.

When the crucifixes burn my work is done if I haven't guessed the ghost I'll review my gameplay to see if I missed any leading signs of a certain ghost

I olay with my wife. She brings in an emf and a temp gauge. I bring a video and crucifix. She gets power on while I look for orbs. Orbs is quite common and easy to spot early game.

Then she uses her thermometer while I look for bone and artifact if there's no orbs.

We usually can find ghost room within the 2 minutes

So in my last game I posted in videos I'ma summarize it rq
I just started walking through the house looking for bones, cursed objects, or signs of the ghost room. I found the bone when I walked in, then found the cards, and found the closet door partially opened in the master bathroom along with a dropped painting. I tested for all evidence types until I got orbs, EMF 5, and dots. So I had a Raiju. I got all the media I could and then just left before my Crucifixes even burned because I had to go anyways

Ok. So bring a video, a thermometer, and a cruci. Walk the house with the video looking for orbs. Get breaker while you're at it. If you don't find orbs, drop the camera and run the house with the thermometer. You'll have the ghost room quickly with that.

My main concern is hunts
Playing with a friend a few times made me confident in actually staying longer than my 5 minute timer but during a hunt Im not confident yet since I dont have sanity pills or smudges

Usually I just start with a flash light, photo camera, and video camera. That way if it is an eventy ghost I collect evidence early on, and the flash light just in case it likes the breaker.

Hunts

• Ghost will blink
• Ghost will appear after grace period
• Closes and locks exit doors. Does not close room doors
• Does not turn off lights (lights turn off when hunt ends)
• Has the same sound throughout the round
