I keep hearing that Mimics have orbs as fake evidence and that it shows up, but I've only had it's evidence and never seen it mimic other ghosts and show orbs. Is it's mimicking ability locked behind a level cap?

I have still heard that there is an increased interaction rate with the tier 2, but I haven't seen any definitive source that confirms or denies it.

Actually if you’re playing with evidence and have already ruled out about 3/4 of the ghosts, leaving 5–6 ghosts, this test becomes very useful, even though technically all ghosts can do it. If you’re playing without evidence and ruled out a lot of ghosts, except mare, yurei, goryo, yokai, and so on, a single ability can already be enough to decide. You can usually rule out yokai and yurei with proper testing, so the remaining choices are limited anyway
An important detail: when Mare triggers the ability, it’s not counted as a normal ghost interaction. Light switch first checks whether a ghost is within range, and only then switches if the chance succeeds. Because of that, mare can make it seem like two interactions happened almost instantly

Ghosts have a minimum 2-second cooldown between interactions (up to 6 seconds). So if you see two interactions happening faster than 2 seconds apart, or you get two ability triggers back-to-back, you can confidently pick Mare, interactions simply can’t happen that fast normally

Mares' ability also has a delay of up to one second. This means that if you get an ability that feels like it took longer than about one second, you can be sure it wasn’t the ability itself

Also, if you roughly know where the ghost is, try clicking switches that are within about 4 meters visually but in spots the ghost couldn’t reach. This is harder on large maps because the interaction range is bigger

What does "accuracy" mean for the EMF reader on the shop menu? I understand that the tier 1 wobbles but tier 2 and 3 straight up tell you the EMF reading it gets. Does it have to do with interference during events or hunts?

T2 still has some interference and less range, but yeah, basically t2 and 3 are accurate asf

T3 specifically literally points where its at. So thats increased accuracy

With t2 you pick up either the emf2 or emf 4, t3 you detect both.
