If a Shade does something in a room where a player is in, it's always due to:

• Broken room boundaries (the game thinks they are in separate rooms. Common on Grafton attic and Brownstone)
• Shade stepped outside the room
• Players don't actually know where the ghost is
• Players are FORCING an interaction (through say Voodoo doll)
• Players don't know the range of interactions with certain objects (normal 1.4m, firelights 5m etc)

From my experience its typically the interaction range reaching through a wall or changing rooms

Almost every other ghost has had some form of bug or break their ability, but Shade's are very consistent.

The new Tanglewood layout had better be good. I understand the assets need to change but the layout did not have to. Aesthetically it's nice but what makes Tanglewood is the layout and by taking out the kitchen counter and adding these extra cutaways, they have fundamentally changed the layout.

The old maps don't fit with the game as the developers have wanted it, that's why the old maps aren't available anymore. The immersion of the game kinda breaks when your suddenly in a whole different area with drastically limited interactions and different aesthetics. I agree though I wish after a certain point in prestige you could go back but not by default

From the discussions with them i've heard, it's because a lot of the old maps are filled with tons and tons of old, less custom Unity Assets. The devs really want to make the whole game entirely their own, and bring the fidelity and environmental storytelling up into their vision.

That being said I totally understand people being cautious about the new map. It's my favorite map in the whole game too. Fingers crossed for everyone.
