The point is you can't just keep 3ev and turn everything up for a super high multiplier. You need to start reducing your evidence to allow the multiplier to keep going up

on 2ev the clamping doesn't start until over 5x

yeah so eventually you wanna be able to do that. You can squeeze some extra XP out of 3ev like you're doing, but as you see the game is gonna limit how much you can make from that. I know you already know the Cheat Sheet. What I'd do is set up a 2ev custom that's pretty similar to Professional (don't even worry about the multiplier), collect your 2ev, then review the cheat sheet for the behaviors of the remaining ghosts.

Some might argue phas shouldn't take 5 years to reach it's current state, but we don't really know the behind the scenes of the development.
Game dev can be expensive, and take a very long time to get the right staff as well as the whole lot of other logistical factors.
Some companies just don't have the resources needed for swift development.

hii so i have a question about ghost looping, is it a bug where the ghost "reach" over the counter for instance when looping the ghost in tanglewood. Is it a bug or part of the game mechs?

desync is caused by high ping/lag. being the host and playing on servers closer to your location would solve the issue for you specifically, but maybe not for your husband

Does the Demon have SUCCEED a hunt attempt for it to count in the debriefing as "Abilities used"?

Because we just did a game on Nells where we got a hunt attempt (cruci burn) at about 90% sanity. To make sure we weren't accidentally misreading the fluctionations and triggered a Yokai, we had one player stay in the room and everyone else left and no one talked on any radio or in the room.

Fwoosh. Second cruci, still above 80%.

We guess Demon (no evidence run) and leave. Sure enough, it's a Demon. However, the debriefing screen says "Abilities used: 0". It has to have used its ability at least twice to attempt a hunt over it's threshold, which is 70%.

So what gives?

Just play the highest multiplier you can and grind games. Don't go for perfect. Just get the ghost, get whatever objective you can easily snag, and just smash games.

If that's how you enjoy "playing" games, that's the fastest way.

There used to be a bug with Demon where abilities weren't counted in the stats. I don't remember if it has been fixed properly.
You might still want to report that. I would find it normal to have the stat being increased even if the ability hunt is prevented.

The ghost reaching from the other side of the table has happened to me on Ridgeview in singleplayer.
I've read a reddit comment saying the devs allegedly added an "anti-cheesing" mechanic where if the ghost stays for a long time at a same place, its hitbox is extended, making it possible to have a bigger reach.

Apparently Tarot cards are bugged atm? We pulled a whole deck, not a single Death card (AKA no cursed hunt) and when the ghost hunted, we got a cursed hunt duration (shorter, because it was an Obambo), but longer than 30 seconds (which is small map duration on High).

Is that intended? If you use a cursed item at all, regardless of triggered hunts, all hunts are now cursed?

Depends on ghost. If you spend the time for actual evidence try to secure both evidences. After, see the ghost tab after ruling the others out and see what quirks match the activity.

Like if its a Rauji you'll see it speed up around equipment left on and a electric heart beat. Can also test with the flashlight method

Some ghosts will have evidence that it has to give if at least 1 ev. mode, that helps narrow them down.
But you'll never find three evidence even if you want to try to say oh mimic technically mimic that's a weakness so it's not "games version of evidence" in that case

They both can be normal speed, but no they're pretty far from normal

Dayan is normal speed with LoS speedup further than 10m away, then moves at either a fast or slow fixed speed based on whether a player is moving closer. Gallu cycles through different stages which change its speeds.

Hey y'all, got a question regarding smudging a room to prevent hunting: Can the ghost still hunt if it wanders outside the smudged room or does it properly stop it hunting as long as the favorite room is smudged?

Asking because we had a hunt occur before the usual Spirit cooldown on a smudge, but the ghost ended up being a spirit anyways

You don't smudge a room you smudge the ghost

If its outside of the room during smudging consider it a useless smudge attempt.

But remember not every ghost will be trapped after such; you might just piss it off

Use motion sensors in tandem with smudges that way you know its in the room before use

Not all the time. Obake has a 25% chance to hide UV, and the ghost needs to continue waking to leave UV anyway. If it steps in the salt and stands still, it wont leave UV
