• May turn off room lights
• May have different sounds

Hunts

• Ghost will blink
• Ghost will appear after grace period
• Closes and locks exit doors. Does not close room doors
• Does not turn off lights (lights turn off when hunt ends)
• Has the same sound throughout the round

Mostly all ghosts have a tell that gives them away, yureis can only fully open, or fully close doors. And mares will never turn a light on, on top of having a chance to quickly turn the light off after you interact with it

first things first, don't even bother on camp woodwind, if you wanna learn the boring ghosts better do houses like tanglewood, edgefield, willow, ridgeview.
once you've determined it's not one of the easy/obvious ghosts, cruci, firelight, motion sensor all go into the ghost room and you do all the boring ghost tests within a smudge timer or two (1.5 minutes each). Watch for yurei touches, watch for shade lack of activity while you're in the room with it, flip light switches for mare, watch motion sensors to get a sense of roaming capacity (goryo doesn't roam much), and so on. also recommend not playing with breaker broken unless you're trying to speed run, in which case you're skipping all the boring ghosts to save time

if you're using system voice on pc you have to avoid tabbing out of the game. if you do tab out of the game, once you tab back in, double tap the windows key, and this should get it working again. if you use VOSK voice recognition mode (the first choice in the list), it's extremely strict and accents may prevent it from understanding since it's expecting clear english (idk if uk or us accent). TEXT mode always works and it's my go-to bc i don't really care for immersion, i just want the thing i'm using to work clearly

If you have one I'd bring a t3 video cam so you can see how much time you have left. Also might as well keep the breaker on as the demon will hunt regardless. You can also increase your speed for quicker attempts

I used the Jankoos YouTube video Easy doom slayed achievement guide 2025 custom settings. It took about an hour to get the demon slayed achievement .

Forced monkey paw. Wish for activity
Player and ghost speed 150%

As soon as you unlock door, start 60sec timer. Leave after 60sec. Rinse repeat until demon ability kills.

The sanity and pill is for preventing other shinanigans from occuring.

Had something odd happen just now. Placed a T3 crucifix down on a summoning circle but when the cursed hunt started, the crucifix didn't stop it as it should have?

It could have already started hunting before the last candle was lit which means it just teleports to circlr while already hunting.
If the cruci didnt have both charges then it wont stop a cursed hunt.

I'm soloing camp woodwind on 2 evidence and have narrowed it down to demon and obambo (UV & writing-hunted at 57%), unfortunately there are no hiding spots to just sit and listen. My question is about ghost behavior. Everywhere I try to hide, the ghost shows up and events. Ghost room is firepit. From what I understand, they can stay in the place they event in and hunt from there, right? And does that count as seeing you so they have a 50/50 chance to come back? And why in the world is it eventing so frequently? Literally instantly every time I stop moving in a new spot. I'm like 1000 runs in and haven't seen this so frequent without it being a different ghost.

I can't figure out what ghost this is and another hunt isn't safe with this behavior. Any advice on the behavior and what ghost it might be?

My wife and I are both not seeing any public lobbies and when trying to join a private one it gives us a game not found error. Yep I even uninstalled and reinstalled the game and that didn’t help either. At one point my wife had this issue while I was still able to play, but when we went to check on it a few hours later I wasn’t able to play either

All of the assets are going to be changed, the general layout of the house itself will stay (mostly) the same, likely with some changes. Layout within the rooms will be changing it seems - yes, there will be looping spots.

Motion sensor above the salt is your friend there. Or, if Tier 3, keep an eye on where it is pointing to when it illuminates: best way to work out if the ghost has gone through the salt.

We tested this. We got a male mimic and sat in the corner of tanglewood with t3 paramic out covering whole map and left game running for 11 hours. 0 banshee scream.

We then did the same for female mimic. Got a scream in 50 minutes

and then using stats we computed the odds of getting 0 scream in 11h and found it to be too low so statistics supported the claim

Note! The "twinteraction" activity level is not a game mechanic and the activity board cannot be used to guarantee a specific Ghost type or evidence type.

While it can be used to assist in identifying The Twins, all Ghosts are able to replicate such a pattern in activity.

Any failed attempts using this method cannot be filed as a bug report as it is not a mechanic. If this is reported or discussed as a real game mechanic, your messages will be deleted and actioned on accordingly.
