I'd be more inclined if they cared enough to listen. I have 300 hours in the game. I'm not a nublet who doesn't know the front end of an EMF from the back end of a smudge. We play 0 evidence all the time and get it right ~95% of the time.

But even well documented bug reports like this one is just flat out ignored unless you have video. So I've just stopped reporting. I don't care anymore.

That's the first I've heard of that. Far as I'm aware, crucifixes have never affected doors. The main quirks from crucis that I'm aware of are the range going through walls and Twins hunting "on top" of one.

Only some events close doors and ghosts usually OPEN doors during hunts, not close them. So I'm not saying you're wrong but it seems unlikely.

Is there a longer interaction range for firelights for ghosts? We just had one blow out a firelight at about 1-2 meters longer than the 1.4 meter interaction range (We were doing a Shade test with motion sensors).

• thaye: 60, then 60 - 120

and a lot of other timers, not only these

put motion sensor in the room you think is the ghost room, can confirm by checking what room the ghost is in right after a hunt or crucifix burn, since they force it to teleport back to the favorite room. eventually you may notice the motion sensor stops going off, then next hunt if it doesn't go back to the same room again then you can cross it off

even without hunts, if you notice it stopped setting the motion sensors in the room off, and it stays that way for a while, same deal

Do phantoms show dots on video cam? I am currently between goryo and phantom, I just saw dots through cam in truck and got a video, im not sure if its phantom because the video i got it doesn't show the dots ghost but I wasnt watching the screen when it happened so I have no clue if I just couldnt see it or what. This ghosts been super difficult and I've only gotten 2 ev despite playing for 45 mins now

What’s best way to know when a ghost is about to begin hunting I never know until it’s too late and get killed

Exit/wing doors lock and you can't interact with lightswitches at all. Those will happen regardless of where the ghost is on the map. When the ghost is close by, you'll see the lights flickering and the ghost blinking around while wandering.

Events you will see the ghost right away it won't be blinking either, lights will turn off and doors to room will shut.
Hunt the lights will flash main door locks and if ghost has a grace you won't see it.
I run from every thing that's how I roll.

Something to also note, but the ghost will not immediately spawn in when the hunt starts. Depending on the difficulty, you'll get a brief grace period where the ghost is invisible but cannot move. That is your chance to get away from it.

The ghost is a physical entity that roams the map, so it will hunt from its current location at that time. That's also how they dodge crucifixes if they aren't placed properly.

It normally spawns in when my sanity threshold is 50% or lower correct? Also is there a way to increase sanity during a game besides sanity medication

most ghost hunt around 50% and only sanity med gives it back but if you have 0 monkey paw I wish for sanity

Without meds, the only way to increase sanity is from using the Monkey Paw (wishing for sanity will set it to 50% regardless of your starting sanity, but sanity will drop faster afterwards) or if you draw a sun card or green Wheel of Fortune from the Tarot Cards.

Sometimes the seasonal events will also grant additional ways to increase sanity, but that won't be until around Easter at the earliest.

Okay. What map were you on? Because cursed hunts can definitely feel like a long time. But if it hunted for that long then it might be a glitch due to large maps the regular hunt lasts for a minute and then a cursed hunt adds an additional 20 seconds to it. The only other thing i can think of is if it kept hunting after every 30 seconds or 25 seconds if it was a demon

The only thing i can think of based off what you have told me is one, if it opend your closet its possible it was still invisible due to its blinking and you didnt see it, two it just kept hunting in quick succession to seem like a long hunt, or three it was just a glitchy round which can definitely happens from time to time. Not often but it can.

honestly i do it solely based on speed. Obambo can change its speed randomly mid hunt. Dayan starts off normal but when it gets within i think 10m it slows down a bit unless you are moving which you can test by just wiggling back and forth and see if it speeds up and as for gallu a simple salt test can be good since if you lay down 3 it can walk over one skip the next and walk in the final one. Or just listen to how it sounds during the hunt based on if its enraged or not.Granted it does sound similar to twins but thats the only tell i know.

Listen twin just one piece of advice for Apocalypse don't try to loop the ghost or get the ghost detention for the whole hunt you want to control the time you're seeing and when you're trying to see pictures the last I don't know eight seconds or so

If you have two monitors id definitely have it setup on the second one so you can just quickly alt tab to it and mark stuff off or even click the smudge timer in the tools section

If it isnt showing orbs after checking a lot then id definitely say obake. Especially since you have a video that states shapeshift. Regardless if you physically saw it or not thats a clear sign for it to be an obake.
