You could've been given a shy Demon, as they're often referred to as.

The shorter hunt cooldown doesn't even matter outside of smudges, and outside of Apocalypse. It's just 5 seconds shorter.

Funnily enough, you'd think that the Demon is the most dangerous one based off its description, but if you're playing on 0 grace period, I'd say Banshee, Phantom or Wraith is the most dangerous one.

Depending on your difficulty, you'll have an amount of 'setup time' in which the ghost won't hunt yet

The timer counts that down

You can remove the timer by using a cursed object.
But the setup time is nice cause ghost cannot hunt, sanity drain is half, and you cannot go below 50% sanity during that time.

Kinda wish we could have a 10min setup timer option. Would be hella funny

T2 slows ghost down.

First off: do you have T1 incense?

If yes, then a good idea is to use the dining room table if you're on Tanglewood. Kitchen Counter is the best most of the time, but dining room table lets you see the ghost better if it crawls. I'm not really sure how to explain the specifics about staming consvervation, but you can always watch Casson's tutorial on perfect looping.

It's harder to do so, yes. You cannot normally see the ghost over the counter, hence why the dining room tables are good for that. The fact that they're shorter and thinner than the counters mean that you have an easier time seeing the ghost.

i usually do a 5x but it has no sprint/no hiding spots or a 4.5x with sprint but no hiding spots. I don't usually get hunted so I don't mind the no hiding spots, and if i do, then oh well gg for me. It all depends what you're comfortable with though. There's a difficulty builder, search for phasmophobia difficulty build and click the zeronetwork one - you can mimic one of the standard difficulties by looking at its settings in the phas wiki, then tweaking wherever you want. I'd try to get at least 4x if you can make it comfortably - you can get 4x with sprint, hiding spots, and 3 evidence depending on the other settings.

It depends what you need/want. You can keep push to talk on, but you’ll have to manually press V. Toggle means you press V once, then you can talk until you press V again. Voice Activation means no button pressing, however it also means you have to be completely quiet when the ghost hunts, or it’ll catch you. Background noise will also get you killed.

What you're mostly looking for now is that: Yurei cannot partially move a door. Even when it does normal touches, the door must be left fully open or closed.

So if a ghost moves a door a little, cross off Yurei

Deogen and Moroi can be excluded if you don't have spirit box evidence on 1 and 2 evidence

Deogen will have a special spirit box response where it has heavy, raspy breathing

Moroi will double sanity drain after a spirit box or parabolic mic (or audio recorder?) response due to it cursing you (cure it with sanity medication)

Poltergeists can be checked by making a pile of objects and seeing if they all get thrown at once in a big explosion

If you have the two female models that can crawl then those are just their normal animations they can choose from whenever they begin their hunt.

They just happen to have extra animations to use when they hunt. Unless they change stance mid hunt (which is the Obake trait) then it won't affect any other ghost type.

those have interaction ranges of a few meters. You have it happen in the ghost room when you're present if the shade wandered outside of the room. Use motion sensors to track where the ghost is. This is espeically an issue if the ghost room is very small and the ghost is spending a lot of time outside it

you can play with it from a hiding spot move side to side when it's in range and then stop and just keep doing that you'll hear it speed up and slow down and speed up and slow down
