i learned how to loop then smudge and hide and so i don't panic during hunts which lets me listen to the footsteps and blinking and other abilities

makes playing on nightmare much easier

just go in a run with a cheap loadout and maybe amateur diff, find the cursed item to quickly start a hunt and an empty hiding spot, then just crouch behind the kitchen island and go around it, if the ghost starts catching up to you try to see how much it speeds up on los, smudge ghost and book it to the hiding spot

but u can do all those things without needing to loop

Looping does make certain ghosts easier to tell, such as Obake with the shape-shift, but after the hunt ended you can always check for Obake's unique handprint, assuming you're playing on at least 1 evidence.

i think the evidence is the most straight forward way, it just gets tougher when the ghost moves away from all the equipment forcing you to move it all, or just not get any evidence for a long time bc you didn't notice it moved

yeah 100% start with evidence

certain evidence should not be crossed off so quickly, like spirit box, since it's harder to get with the t1 spirit box, you gotta move around a lot more, but there are evidence like ghost writing that are very easy to eliminate bc if the ghost kicks the book over without writing in it, you can just cross it off. same for ghost orbs, if you find the ghost room and can confirm that it really is the ghost room, and there are no orbs in it, you should be able to just cross off orbs. only exception is that sometimes orbs bug out and can go outside the map, so on tanglewood, if the ghost is in the living room, sometimes you'll see the orbs outside the window just a small distance in the back yard

In general, if you see a couple of rooms with different temperatures than the others, then a ghost lives there or has at least been there. Keep in mind that after a hunt, the rooms also cool down

For the best difference, turn on the generator to heat the interior rooms to 20 degrees while the temp in current ghost room continues to fall

nah, spirits chance for events is the same as for any other ghost except hantu or thaye. It can event more only because it can’t hunt 3 mins and during this period he produces a lot of activity than the other ghost, because others can start hunting when the spirit cannot
