try to manage your sanity so you have time to collect all the evidence and you don't get caught in that situation. Keep the ghost room dark but the nearby rooms lit and stay in the light most of the time.

UV is best checked right away, especially from salt as footprints don't last very long

use an EMF to double-check the location of touches to be sure you're checking the right door/switch/etc

cheat sheet has all the info on ghost behaviors you can read up on. i suggest instead of trying to cram it, you play professional or whatever, figure out what the ghost is, then study up on that particular ghost on the cheat sheet, then try to observe the ghost's abilities and behaviors before you leave that game. just add this to your normal gameplay and you'll familiarize yourself with the "0 evidence" stuff with time, then you can bump up to nightmare or insanity somewhat comfortably

Once you've played enough 2ev to get the hang of telling ghosts without full evidence, you drop down to 1ev which shouldn't take you too long to just go full 0ev

Probably. They aren't that good of a hiding spot in general, and wishing for knowledge spawns the ghost near you to hunt. It also perma-blinds/deafens you too.

I actually really like Bleasdale. Grafton is the one I dislike, mostly because it's such a pain to find the ghost. I'm indifferent to the maple lodge rework because I didn't really experience it before.

My biggest complaint about this new upcoming update isn't the reworked map, it's the animations for doing things. If I have to sit there and watch an animation of lighting a smudge stick while a freaking thaye or revenant is bum rushing me, I'll straight up quit playing the game. I pray that it's purely cosmetic and can be turned off in the settings, because it's not like this game is PVP, there's no reason to arbitrarily force everyone to use the same handicap.

Tanglewood kitchen area is how everyone teaches new players about looping and the game in general, what is even wrong with the map anyways?

I found that when it comes to that. If you have ghost orbs you should always check for the mimic's traits like spirit box, ultraviolet, and freeze temps. So say it comes up as Onryo, you would double check for ultraviolet, etc etc

And remember it cant have emf 5, dots or ghost writing

A ghost will check closets and hiding spots if in a closet you can try holding the door as long as the ghost doesn't know you are there you will be ok this way.
If the ghost sees you go in, detects voice or electronics of any kind it will rip open the doors out yer hand and kill you.

Adding to this a huge mistake new players (even some vets) make is not turning off electronics (or switching away from video/photo cam) before getting to the hiding place. Causing the ghost to investigate that area or straight up rush to choke you.
I recommend using glow sticks or dropped flashlights 'as long as it's not a raichu' pointing to the hiding spot so you can run equipment free.

I've even used motion sensors on larger maps to mark turn points.

but book upgrade will always be useful for larger range to get it

I just think t2 photo camera is much better, since you can see what you're photographing, as well as the cooldown being shorter. Which I find extremely useful whenever you miss a hunting ghost photo.

Book upgrade in my experience is only really useful if the room is a large one. T1 book works just fine in small and certain medium rooms.

Unless you get a ghost that likes to roam a lot, then book upgrade may be better.

Technically yes, but unless you use smudge after smudge, then the ghost is likely to hunt very frequently. The fully open/close doesn't apply to the Yurei if it's hunting.

Yes, but since the ghost is likely to hunt very frequently, it's unlikely you'll actually be able to confirm it, unless the ghost room is really close to the start and the ghost holds off any hunts or something.

u can try using the yurei smudge test. Banshee can still roam to you with its ability even if your on top floor. Goryo is trickier but if u stay long enough ghost should eventually do a room change (assuming you have this enabled in custom)

u can also try to get banshee scream
