that is, if there is a player nearby, oni becomes more active by a **certain **amount, but it WONT be applied if your sanity is 0 since you have already reached the maximum activity. Oni unlike other types of ghosts, has more frequent events only because it has an activity modifier

no, don't think about xp. Focus on learning the game. The more you know the smoother levels will be. Play the hardest difficulty you can do reliably. Avoid dying above all else. Once you hit lvl 50 Custom unlocks and you've got tons of options for grinding XP.

it's really practice and trial and error to be honest but what I do is I wait for him to blink then I wait a second and then take a picture to predict when he is gonna pop back

Ruling out a Demon isn't something you'd typically do, but you get an idea on how long the ghost takes between hunts

Typically, if the ghost hasn't hunted for a while, then I would be reasonably confident that it isn't...but I'd keep my ear out
