during a hunt, if you can hear it outside of the range your flashlight flickers, it's not a myling. if it is normal speed all the time, demon. if it speeds up after you smudge it then it's a Gallu

In an event the ghost will be solid or Shadow form and the lights will shut off

Plus in the smaller maps you can hear the front door lock if it’s a hunt.
