They're kinda weird, almost think of them as a more complicated Raiju. They have normal speed and LOS outside of around 10m, then when they're closer they move at their fixed speeds based on if you're moving

Well sort of, it mainly depends on your objectives. If you have burnt crucifix objective for example it can be hard to get to the ghost room as the deogen would drive you away from it. By the time you would get back it might be too late as it would most likely hunt again.

Does anyone know if the developers have changed mimic at all? I'm currently on a run with friends and the evidence is saying Onryo / mimic ( it's a mimic ) but for the first 10 or so minutes of the game the ghost had been stuck in one corner of the room ( was literally blowing firelights out from outside lol ) and the ghost orbs had stayed in the first ghost room and not moved to the second when the ghost had changed rooms? if that makes sense?. so basically just wondering if Mimic spawns with ghost orbs in it's room and / or a random room or if this is a bugged round?

The nice thing about 2ev/nightmare, is that you only have to worry about a small pool of ghosts at any given time

it becomes easy, you learn over time. like for example. if you get freezing and dots, you know it's either an oni or a yurei. then you can go look up what the noevidence tests for them are. and then eventually you figure it out

but if it's not fun figuring it out, then like. you don't have to do it. you can keep playing professional

Sometimes Orbs will hide inside stuff. Usually they'll change positions periodically but worst case scenario, you might need to wait for a room change.

It's not the worst, it just means you have to know more about the ghosts and be able to survive while you do more tests. Some ghosts have dead giveaways even on 0 evidence, and some will have giveaways unique to 1 or 2 evidence

The community combines los (line of sight) with los speed up so the phasing can get blurred. Most ghosts have a base speed then apply difficulty/custom settings then ability adjustment/weakness speed then line of sight with SOME abilities triggering with and after line of sight speed up it's nuts. anyway for as long as it sees you it will slow down at half that rate when Los is broken.

Honestly, Cursed Objects and darkness are basically the only reliable way for me to lose sanity. I almost never get events, unless it’s the specific ghosts I mentioned. Oni and Thaye especially just spam me with events, no one else does, if I get lucky I might get one event per game, sometimes two or three if the stars align.

Turn the breaker on for the house to warm up if you think you have found the ghost room you’ll see breathe (since the house would be warm) and if your only getting breathe in that room you’ve found the ghost room BUT if it’s snowing outside it will be harder to find the room since the whole house is gonna be cold (I think)
