I play Nightmare to try to get better at being able to tell what ghost it is based off behaviors mostly, but hunts too. I'm just not that experienced at Nell's so I've died at least 4 times there today. Today is not my lucky day 🤣

I have had the fortune of not meeting the Goryo, yet. Not on Nell's anyway. I did mistake a Goryo for an Oni because I could've sworn I saw the DOTS through my own eyes, not just the video camera once.

when you're learning Nightmare, don't worry about looping, as it's something you'll only need to do very rarely. But in general: stay crouched to break LoS, only use sprint a little a time, keep your eyes on the ghost, and be aware of any obstructions like trash cans. Finally, also have a smudge ready, and be prepared to bail. Looping the ghost the entire hunt is always unnecessary.

Focus on learning the ghost traits moving to Nightmare, that will be enough for the vast majority of games. Getting comfortable with hunts is important, but you can still just avoid the ghost/smudge/hide for the most part.

Yurei slam is a more smooth shut whereas any ghost can do the rattle then slam which is a fast close, if any doors open and are only half open not fully then it’s not a Yurei

But I feel like people are too good at the game to justify it having its bonus xp/money when you manually select it, they'd just be earning more money for free when that's not really necessary under the games current balancing
