The ghost will warp to you so even if you are on the far left wing of SM and the ghost is on the far right wing when you pull the devil the ghost will be tped to you to do an event

Couple of things: the living room is the edge of the foyer all the way to the edge of the kitchen - the boundaries are clear. The Phantom can stalk you as well, so it'll make the room cooler wherever it is

might also have to do with the timing. i have a custom setting for badge farming that makes it so UV stays permanently and it for some reason gets overridden on footprints specifically on Nell’s. meant to stay permanently (or until a certain amount of footprints appear and get wiped out by the new ones), and yet they disappear after like 15 seconds

i don’t know if you’re experiencing this on the new map but if so then i will say there’s been really funky interactions there for me so far

It's very slow, you shouldn't have too much difficulty with it, unless you're at a REALLY tight deadend

And if you are at a dead end, the best thing to do is get as close to the ghost without dying then slowly back up with it. This extends how long it takes before you hit the dead end

And you could possibly survive from the hunt ending

Here's a not fun fact. You know how the camera won't record the tier 3 motion sensor sometimes? It turns out that whatever causes that also prevents the motion sensor objective from being checked off, which also affects my Complete Objectives daily task. Luckily, it worked during a hunt, but I wouldn't have needed a hunt that game if the T3 motion sensor worked like it was supposed to.

personally I either know because i've been in the light since I last checked it in the truck (subject to other ghost abilities potentially draining it without my knowledge) or I scurry straight to the truck to check afterwards and mentally account for any drainage if I spent time in the dark during the hunt

if you don't actively want it to hunt you, you should stay in rooms with all the light switches on
just don't turn on too many lights (e.g. while searching the map) because the breaker will pop and all the lights will go off

some rooms in some maps cannot be lit properly but it's usually pretty obvious the lights aren't working properly
