it might get wonky whenever there’s something in between you and the ghost, it might try to register it as a wall maybe? and then the deo would speed up to get passed that.

the ghosts do treat the counter as breaking line of sight if you crouch.

for the first experience getting a deo, they started in the kitchen and we waited for it at the counter, and the deo kept speeding up as it walks past the flappy doors and killed my friend.

the second instance it started in the hallway with the vending machine, and again we waited at the counter. my friend was at the same side as the deo and it didn't bother slowing down. i tried smudging it, but it very much never slowed down lol.

we used professional setting if that helps.

one bug that always irks me is when the ghost does literally nothing. it’s happened a few times where we’ll find the ghost room via cursed object or temps and it’ll just do nothing, at first i was thinking i just got some extra shy shades but no, they ended up being other ghost types afterwards. the entire game for maybe 10+ minutes they wouldn’t do anything, no events, no hunts.

Absolutely, and to a certain extent, I understand why they choose the distances they do. They make for a good first impression, they control how you first see the map, and they look great aesthetically. But on game #87 I'm not enjoying the view; I'm lamenting the chore.
