Hantu will still chill its room from the ambient temp (8C iirc) closer to 1C, so you can still notice some variance. It may not be obvious on the first hunt since you're already at 0 sanity, so it hasn't had a chance to chill its room yet

that said, yokai has to be my all-time least favourite, it always hunts as soon at it hits 80% even when you're not talking
in multiplayer its mechanic seems to work fine, but in single player it seems that just the sound of the fan in the livingroom can trigger it into a rampage

Someone super experienced I have a question because I am tilted from the last couple days of playing one evidence and I'm still improving at this game, aren't we all. But I don't know if it's just me but there's a lot of weird activity that I swear are special abilities of other ghosts or the ghost catching me when I'm looping it when it wasn't even close to me to begin with, or hearing Mylings when I shouldn't be able to or phantoms not leaving UV footprints when It walked through all 3 salts, so two of them didn't have a UV but one did so I'm guessing Obake but it was a phantom. Yesterday my friend and I were playing and I had dots With the camera hey my friend was inside and I was in the truck and he said he didn't see dots so I said OK it's obviously a Goryo, But I was wrong again. And none of these were mimics. 😵‍💫 😤

the problem with salt footprints is that sometimes the ghost steps in them and then stops walking

with Obake you want to look for actual footpritns, but then skipping one, like 2 right foots in a row

So if there's three salt lines in a row and it walks through all three of them are all three going to have footprints if it does or just the last one? And I think I guessed Obake because I had two Obake games before that where it didn't have Footprints out of like 4 of the 6 salt I laid down throughout the map So I pretty much was like oh I've seen this before lol

my experience with multiple salts is that it gets kinda buggy, with 2 salts it still works somewhat fine, but with 3 salts I feel like the engine can't keep up and starts ignoring some salts

I usually space the salts well apart for that

yeah sometimes the ghost flip a switch back off quickly but a Mare's is almost instantaneous almost exact same time you turn it on it flips off there's like no space in between. It's One of those things where it's hard to tell unless it actually is the mare ability then you just know it. If it's not side by side it can be difficult. I guess if you have to guess then it's not a mare ability.

What is the ghost reach when looping? I tried to look it up it just doesn't give me an answer. I notice the best players make sure they are completely 50 50 on the opposite side of the counter or island or table or whatever. it seems like if it's on the same side as me it pretty much is close enough to kill me. I'm not good at looping yet but I'm trying to get better and it's starting to upset me 'cause I never survive it.
