If you can't even ID a mimic, then you need to learn the ghosts more

The way it was explained to me, assuming it's working correctly (that's debated), is, "Once you have been in the same room as the ghost for at least 2 seconds and say a recognized phrase, there is a chance to briefly raise activity a little bit, with some cooldown between possible procs (like 15s or so)." It wouldn't trigger a hunt in any case (except indirectly from Yokai), and overall it's a very minor mechanic even if working properly.

Alright so, you know that the mimic is the only ghost that can give you orbs under the apoc 3 difficulty
So to check if its a mimic or ANY other ghost
You first figure out what room it is in
This is easiest done with a T3 Paramic
You check for orbs
If orbs are there: It's a mimic
It not: its legit any of the other ghosts
From there you'll have to figure it through behaviour, abilities and hunt speed
A good way to practice this is to create a custome difficulty with 0 evidence and start from there
Do it on a smaller map and so you have an easier time getting used to the sounds (and for the love of all things on this earth, play with sound on or you're never going to be successful)
When you're more comfortable you start ramping up the hunt speed and stuff like that
Until you can successfully ID the ghost based on those parameters

If you refuse to do any of that
(And based on previous conversations people have had with you
I'm going to assume you will refuse to listen)
You'll never manage to do it I'm afraid

Can someone explain the the jinn's abilty for me. Me and my friend have just had I think 3 jinns in a row, which is crazy. 2 of the games we marked off jinn coz the breaker was turned off. What are we not understanding?

That's not the Jinn turning off the breaker. That is called tripping the breaker, like you can do in real life

The Jinn will move normal speed, and then when it sees you from far away, it will come sprinting faster than LOS. Then it will slow down to LOS speed.

And you need to turn on the breaker initially to give a ghost a chance to turn it off. If you never turn it on, then the ghosts can't turn it off to be able to say yes or no.

You can check if the breaker was broken by seeing if the lights are still on when you turn the breaker back on, best way to confirm Jinn test

You can tell if the breaker was turned off directly or overloaded based on whether all the lights come back on when you turn it on. If it was overloaded, all lights will remain off (tripping the breaker switches off all lights).

wood floor messes with speed tells, the piano spot takes a good chunk of time to get to. And any upstairs ghost room is bad as it often paths down to the stairs and its a one way trip with little hiding spots around. u almost have to use smudge timer to bring items up

Has anyone else lost all motivation to get perfect games since the new media changes? I've played since release, I've always strived for perfect games but its so tedious now, I knock the ones out for main 3 objectives and move on to the next ghost. I feel like I can get an entire extra hunt in by the time I get all that media playing solo.

I plan to finish Upgrade I tonigh, and I can maybe knock about about 40% for level 2 tomorrow. After that I'm only gonna do 200-300 points a day at least until I get the second upgrade.

Kinda sucks how only the final upgarde looks good though. The other two are just too subtle.

I've just been focusing on ghost type and objectives, plus any totems I find. Been doing 3 evidence since 0 EV gets monotonous if I get too many boring ghosts.

Been racking up 27-33 points per game which works enough for me.

As long as the ghost lets me get those objectives that is.

It's about recording videos, in the truck TV, on console. There will be times when I'm recording on the truck TV, and I find it very annoying how the different Video feeds are up in the top right, and the Record button is bottom left.

Whenever I try to get a video, it takes forever for my cursor to drag alllllllll the way down to the Record button, and I usually end up missing it. I'm on console so the cursor moves super slow. I would just leave it always Recording, but I sometimes tend to shuffle between different cameras, which obviously shuts off Record.

I'm not sure if there's a quick fix or not
