omg yes!! since like two days ago my fps was going crazy

while my friend was having no issues

lobby is giving me 25 fps. Outside a map gives me 120 fps. Inside the map with lights off is like 60 fps. If we turn the lights on, it drops to 30 fps and if I have a camera up, then I'm down to single digit fps

Did you hear footsteps when it went through? It's possible for ghosts to stop on salt and not keep walking. Also when people used to stack T3 salt for photos, that would cause ghosts to get hung up on it

the one thing a horror game should do is build suspense, build the sense of dread, the feeling of expecting a jumpscare

and when you do build the feeling of a jumpscare up, dont give the relief to the player, keep em on edge

this is why glitch and psychological horror is my favourite types

Well ik raiju speed up around electronics and jinn slows down around 3 meters from the player with breaker on

ok, so yes and no (mostly no for Jinn).

Raiju and Jinn both have a special condtion(s) that make them go at a fixed speed of 2.5m/s instead of their normal 1.7m/s + LoS speed.

Raiju's is, as you said, proximity to active electronics. Very simple.

Jinn's requires:
-breaker is on
-ghost has LoS on a player
-ghost is further than 3m away from player

So if it was say 6m away it would slow down when it reached 3m, but if it sees you from far away it's 2.5m/s the whole way, and the whole time it sees you, it's still calculating normal LoS speedup even though it's currently fixed at 2.5m/s. So a Jinn coming from far away will explode at 3m.

Personally I wish they never introduced the prestige. I spoke out against it when it was only a thought and said I would boycotte the game if they brought it to life. But this is one of the few spooky games that plays nicely with stream master so I'm back

That's just the traditional way that prestige systems work.

Is it completely dated? Absolutely. I think there should be a better system. Like Payday 2 for instance added a Prestige system where you could either level reset at 100 to Prestige, or you could fill a "Prestige Meter" once you hit 100. If you filled the meter all the way, you could prestige without resetting.

The one and only downside of the meter being that it takes somewhat longer to prestige that way, but you don't lose your money, levels, or gear that way.

I have a 10x custom that's zero evidence that I run on fridgeview. That gets good levels.

Good technique with it is to bring a crucifix and smudge into the kitchen, place the cruc in the middle and let it hunt. Mark off based on speed and then try to identify it by hunts.

I like to hide behind the fridge and piano based on where it hunts at.

Are you sure they're not ghost events. It's impossible to hunt 4 times in 30 seconds without a major bug, but I have seen a Thaye do 4 ghost events in 30 seconds. They go crazy sometimes.

In Grafton just now, we had the summoning circle, and to get some evidence, we decided to use it. The last two candles would not stay lit. We switched roles and I tried. They wouldn’t light for me a couple of times, and then I seemed to have gotten it to light and instantly got killed. I was on top of a Tier 3 crucifix in the middle of the circle. Anyone else ever have that happen?

Candles don't stay lit when the person lighting them doesn't have enough sanity for it. It sounds like your sanity got low enough that the ghost was already hunting when you finally summoned it, so the cruci did nothing
