I was in a lobby the other day and was confused why I couldn't seem to get the "Hunting Ghost" recording on the sound recorder. The guy I was playing with said it's because only the host can get that recording? He (the host) then proceeded to get the recordings effortlessly.

So is this true, and if so, do we know why that is? Is it intentional, or some kind of bug? I've tried googling, but nothing comes up.

This has probably been asked a billion times, I'm sorry if it has, is it intended that some ghost events just pop up for a split second??
Like, for example I was just on Tanglewood, and I had an obake do 3 ghost events and then a red light event back to back, and I kept trying to get a photo, but every time it'd pop up it wouldn't last long enough for me to even swap to my photo cam, and i'm not trying to just hold photo cam the whole time lol.
Is it just cuz that maps too small and the ghost is too close to me?? I feel like if that's the case, we could benefit from the distance ghost events disappear on small maps being shortened?
I dunno. Just annoying more than anything I guess. A petty grievance maybe. This happens to me all the time, though. And it's infuriating to try to get ghost photos xD

Ghost can hide evidence on higher difficulties?? How does that work, I heard they can throw the book and still give ghost writing.

its simple really, say the moroi for example, instead of giving spirit box, ghost writing and freezing temperature, it will only give spirit box and another

spirit box is a must for both the moroi and deogen

When an evidence is hidden, like on Nightmare, it's hidden the whole round. So yeah, it would be possible for a Myling to throw the book, but it's not going to give you writing later.

oh yeah and also, just because you don't get a piece of evidence, does not mean you can cross that out

even if its the book getting thrown

what you can do, is rule out ghosts if the two pieces of evidence you DID get aren't forced

What you can do on NM is cross off any ghosts that have both evidences if you've ruled out 2+. Like not having UV or Writing would eliminate Polter, Demon, Myling.

Also, Cheat Sheet does this logic for you when set to Nightmare

example: you get freezing and ghost writing on 2ev? its not a moroi, you can 100% cross it out

so you CAN cross out ghosts based of the LACK of FORCED evidence

however, one ghost that can somewhat be tricky if they feel like being little shits, are mimics

if you see ghost orbs, make sure, and i mean make SURE there isn't a third piece of evidence

so in other words, if you get 3 pieces of evidence on 2ev, its a mimic, 2 pieces of evidence for 1ev, and then just ghost orbs on 0ev

want to ask this again, but does anyone know if they've changed Yurei at some point post-Chronicle? we had a yurei that slammed doors and creaked them open outside of its ability, even though as far as i am aware it is not supposed to do that, and should only fully open or fully close doors in a gentle manner. We were very confused when the ghost ended up being a Yurei
