I have two questions. Just did a round at Tanglewood and it was a shade, but the ghost evented on me in the same room and blew the lights, and my friend is sure it hunted from the same room. Could this be a bug or is it more likely we were just wrong about where it started from

Like can a ghost burst the lights in your room while not being in that room?

My other question is, if a door is fully open and it makes the door sound and shakes, but doesn't move. Is that the yurei ability?

In my experience, the ghost is in the room when it bursts the lights. When it leads up to that burst, I try to get a photo of it, since it is solid and not blinking in/out.

Every single ghost event does a very short range to teleport so in the shades case as soon as it steps outside the room it could teleport into the center of the room for the event

I was doing the weekly again with a friend last night, and I had the ghost wait a minute after we walked in before it did anything (generally indicates a wraith, phantom, or banshee since they can't hunt while stalking you), then event on my face despite being not being in the entry room (making me think definitely wraith), but then we heard it move at different speeds during hunts (making us think mimic or twins, because theoretically I could have had the outer twin event on me), and my friend then said she got EMF5 (so twins). Turned out she was talking about the truck activity graph and not the actual emf meter, and it was in fact a mimic (that presumably had mimicked a wraith initially)

Use the parabolic. It helps you identify where the ghost might be from further away, which comes in useful on a big map, and it lets you listen to footsteps more safely. Take advantage of the 25/20 seconds between hunts to check your gear if you need to.

Havent played the weekly yet but id probably just use paramic to hear ghost speed. Then look at its blinks during the hunts and tell it off of 1 hunt. If I can then i leave right after (or die because you dont have to live to win the weekly). If I cannot tell, then I run away from the ghost and then bring evidence items to its room

I did some quick mathing and figured out (in solo with text prompts and 3 evidence) that "Perfect Games" are easier with Thaye and more difficult with Onryo and Twins. Thaye will give you 5 pieces of Evidence-based media, while Onryo and Twins will only give you 2 each. If you turn on your microphone, you can get them up to 3 evidence (from recording a spirit box on the floor) putting them on par with Jinn, Hantu, and Obake for the worst ghosts. Deogen gets bumped up using this method as well, making Thaye and Deo the most media-friendly.

I didn't factor in Salt however. You can get a video of the salt-kick, as well as UV footsteps from ghosts that have it, and then video of a mist-ball... These things make Onryo and Twins lag behind again, and drop Wraith and Oni down to their level as the four worst ones. And like 10 different ghosts are tied for first place now.
