I think ghost photos should go off of quality over captured event.

So say if you take a photo of the ghost close up it should be worth more then one far away. It will still come out as a "ghost photo" but depending on the quality such as how clear and how close you got the photo depends on the value of the photo. giving a realistic style, meaning a photo of a ghost far away would be like $1-10 and a ghost that is closer is $11-20

for a big room, maybe, it's hard to image a shade putting out a candle from a foyer when the candle's in the back of the next room, maybe on the starter map since the rooms are all really small

I think I just saw 1 frame of DOTS

it can be really annoying to test for goryo in some rooms, because you have to basically angle your view through a doorway seeing only like a small corner of the room you're investigating

why does the goryo keep doing events that are too short to record
he spawns, start singing or making noises, but disapears before the wheel goes round, very annoying

Yurei must close the door fully, so it's more of a mutual exclusive factor than an inclusive one

if it doesn't open or closes a door fully, it's not a yurei
but if it does, it can be a yurei but also still everything else

for yurei you kinda need like 3 or 4 door interactions and them all being full open/closes, in order to beat the statistics

I have a question about the Yurei ability. We just had a round on Pro in Willow. Down in the basement in the second room, the ghost slammed a door that was almost completely open. We logged in Yurei, but it was an Onryo. There was no event and the door was about 97% open. Before I write a pointless ticket:

My Question:

Can every Ghost now close the door completely? But how do you do that without evidence and without a Sanity Monitor if anyone can do it? Isn't that counterproductive? I would have to wait until he touches the front door or burn incense and see if he stays in the room, right? We like to play without evidence with a 12 multiplier, you know. In the past it was easy: When he close the door completely, it´s a Yurei and done. But now what is the difference between a complete closure of a door by another spirit and by the Yurei?

ive been on 11/15 for a few days initially i was only getting photos and videos but now ive been using sound recorder and still nothing has changed. Is this a bug or does it only accept certain media? (i am a returning player from 2 years ago)

But if every ghost can do that, then there must be a difference between a normal door closing and the yurei function, right? I always thought that there would be creaking noises from the door, and if there weren't, then it was the yurei. But that doesn't seem to be the case. There has to be a difference between a Yurei closing a door completely and other ghosts. Otherwise, you always have to wait until it either opens a door completely or, hopefully, touches the front door.

My advise if you do plan the grind is for them all together and just rotate the 4 maps. I grinded just campsite and by the end I was over it then the other 3 I did together and it was alot better swapping between the 3 maps every round

Objectives are escape a hunt and incense. Already got motion detector. The problem is that it's halfway up the female wing, so it's just barely too close to bait it down the right side and it might wander towards good spot.

Might be able to stall it with salt though, so that's worth a shot.

Even died that time getting 4 photos point blank and the pictures being worth 0$. Definitely bugged.

Yeah, it's apocalypse, there's no realistic other way except during the hunt. Several straight-on photos over different ghost types. (Hauntu, Goryo, Revenant) Definitely in the frame. Last one was the Revenant, took 3 at basically point blank, checked journal as I was dying and none of the photos contained the ghost or had any value. No way to really have missed those pictures.

Bug reported it, because it's been multiple hunts, not just one fluke.

That's the thing, the camera was pointed directly at the ghost, there were no objects, it was in the hallway. Revenant. From about 15m to literally as it was killing me. There is a consistent distortion.

I know this is late but no one responded and I just saw it and the answer is no. Banshees will do events on everyone, same as any other ghost.

I guess it is technically more likely for a Banshee to event on their target, since they will wander to them as part of their ability, so in theory, since they'll be near their target more often, which means they may be the closest player when they decide to event, but they will not only event on them

Every 3rd flame it will attempt to hunt, it can be delayed by 6 seconds.
Any lit flame can act as a cruci when it attempts.
If its smudged it cannot hunt either.

This includes your lighter in your hand when you're relighting the candle if it gets blown out and you don't notice
