hey guys, i need some help. i am a returning player. i have been and used to do a ton of zero evidence and zero sanity camp woodwind single hunt ghost guessing. however, lately it seems almost every ghost could be a poltergeist unless its obvious that its something else and i have to pay much more attention to things to deduce that it isnt a polt. what exactly has changed about throw speeds and strength that almost all ghosts throw things as far and often as a polt used to?

Little bit late of a response but: 60s after the front door is unlocked it will attempt to age, if it fails it will attempt every 30s until it successfully ages. Then it will attempt to age every 60 - 120 seconds. An attempt will fail if there isn't a player within 3m of the ghost or a threre isnt a player in the same room as it. Aging happens everytime the ghost switches state so it can be delayed by a few seconds in the case of ghost events etc.

So basically if you have emf 5 and dots. Don’t ever cross out UV cuz it don’t show. Better to check if dots are only thru camera to figure out if it’s a goryo between the 4 ghosts remaining with that evidence

Depends on where you loop btw. Some tables or so are easier than others. I normally play tanglewood - loop around kitchen counter. If its a small/ crawling ghost i either do dining table or dont loop much at all. Too risky

Take your time to enjoy learning the game at your own pace. That’s my biggest bit of advice.

You’ll hear a lot of things being thrown around like 0 sanity runs, no evidence, apocalypse challenge, etc… but honestly, my best time I can remember in phas is being scared of the ghosts and the sense of achievement when I finally understood how to identify them.

By all means look things up, do research if you’d like to speed up the process but genuinely? I’d take the time to enjoy, this game has many more levels to it than the surface presents!

I’d perhaps agree with getting used to managing lights to help with sanity, getting comfortable setting up equipment and what they all detect and how as well as how to find the ghost room.

I’d hazard a guess these 3 aspects will give you a great head start in developing further skills.

Don’t be afraid to play the easiest difficulty whilst you learn, no shame in it what so ever, there’s a 5 mins timer that starts when you open the front door where the ghost can’t kill you so it gives you time to get oriented with your surroundings finding the ghost room and setting up the equipment.

Then after you’re more confident, they you can crank it up to a harder difficulty!

How do yiu figure out a goryo on 0 evidence

Best way I figured out was by ruling out other ghost types first. If you play with the option of the ghost being able to change rooms, try to find the room first (if you’re playing with sanity) and try to observe it never changing rooms throughout the game.

Difficult as that may be, without evidence, ruling out other ghosts based on their unique behaviour is probably the way to go. (Speed, blinking, hunting cool down, changing models etc…) most other ghosts have a way to identify them through their hunting characteristics, a goryo and a yurei are the more difficult ones as their behaviour can be difficult to directly detect

It's either Vivox or the game's implementation of it. If it never worked, it'd be a "you" issue, but the way many people have sporadic problems, it's unlikely there's anything we can do

Assuming your talking about the forced evidence that the cheat sheet automatically does but in-game it doesnt- Its definitely intended that way as forced evidences is a intentional game mechanic for the player to figure out. So i understand and prefer the game not doing it for the player

I suppose. I do see that this game works on the old school assumption of new players learning from more experienced ones, which is fair. I do think it's a bit punishing tho. For a newish player that mostly did intermediate/pro, jump to nm can be quite a bit. I remember it being difficult back when it was first added
