That was so annoying. I went in and spent I don't even know how long trying to get anything to mark this ghost as a mimic. I was running 2 evidence and got ghost orbs right away on top of Freezing It didn't hunt on 3 candles going out. I could not find any uv or spirt box so I was swearing this was a Yurei as the only doors it interacte dwith got shut fully. It didn't give off ice breath when hunting. so I live pretty sure its a Yurie but it was a mimic.

Something i noticed when playing 0 sanity, is that when you get hunted the moment you enter the house on Edgefield, the ghost often starts in the kitchen and then picks up a room after the hunt (it can be basement, can be upstairs, the floor doesnt matter).
Makes me think theres a default location for all ghosts before they can pick up their first favorite room. It has happened with a goryo, happened in the games when ghosts didnt change its favorite room in the stats. I wonder if ghosts actually have a default coordinate on all maps or im just very lucky with breaking the game

I got freezing temps in the foyer as in -1 to -8 . But also freezing temps in the dining room. At first we thought foyer but nothing else. Also ghost orbs showed up finally in the dining room.

Reseting your savefile will only reset level but will keep your case number

And statistics, you will lose them as well

also my pc kinda overheats everytime i play phasmophobia for some reason and idk why and i try to keep the fans on my acer gaming laptop as quiet as possible so i can hear the gameplay but it overheats so.. i turn on the fans and it's cooler but i can barely hear gameplay..

all in all the restarting game isn't going to change the temp issue you have. that's not the game system it's your set up vs option in game. can default game options without deleting your 'progress'. that is a DM to Phasmo ModMail for proper info either way. so you don't get wrong instructions 🙂

i understand the temps. what you chose for game options/fps/whatever combination has it running harder then really needed. upgrades or different settings solves the temp, not deleting a save. that would be like deleting a save on an old mario game would change the gameplay. just doesn't happen. (or i might be a moron who knows lol) hope you get your answers!
