yeah just set up a custom and grind it efficiently. I’d recommend about 11-13x. Any harder and you might struggle, any easier and it will take you longer. I’m sure if you search you can find someone giving their recommendation for custom setups but if you need I can give you mine.

The other night I had gotten a mimic but I was having massive trouble seeing the ghost orbs, don’t know if it’s because it was in a small room, on tangle wood it was in the bathroom to the left of main door. Feels like the ghost never gets to hunt 98% of the time anyway. Sanity pills can keep me out of hunting range, the crucifix stops it from hunting if i mismanage my sanity (or if it's a demon, but I cover the ghost room with a crucifix or two ASAP just in case it is a demon or a mimic demon.)

There's always a chance that a demon will hunt before I can set up the crucifixes, or wander out of crucifix range and then hunt, or that I'll mismanage my sanity and a normal ghost will wander away from the crucifixes before hunting, but the extra rewards seem to be well worth the risk.

You could do that, or one by the exit and another further into the room. It's not going to be perfect ofc, but might just be enough to let you get away

They will, every game that has anything that's difficult/lengthy to obtain will receive backlash to some degree. It's up the devs to maintain a backbone that not everyone can get everything, and that's okay.

Seriously tho, especially when you see what might be the DOTS ghost out of the corner of your eye but it's gone before you can make sure and then you're like "did I imagine that or was it just my breath??"

Sometimes D.O.T.S. ghost is such a brief thing.

D.O.T.S. evidence is simply harder to get than writing. Both have a similar idea of "put down your evidence thing and wait" but with D.O.T.S. you actually need to be there to observe the ghost going through it. With writing, it doesn't matter if the ghost writes in the book while you're out getting items from the van, you'll see the writing in the book when you get back.

so long as you're getting the red light/X blink, the game is understanding your questions. Could be bad luck or the ghost isn't currently in nearby.

room temp is -0.3 so evidently still ghost room, i turn off lights, ask all the usual questions 4 times and red constantly. i think it's hantu with evidence i have, go back to van and then it's a mimic...

Try setting up a motion to make sure you know the ghost is currently there when you're trying, perhaps.

Which spirit box tier are you using? The lower tier spirit boxes have less range and less chance that the ghost will respond, so sometimes it takes a lot of tries.

Even with tier 3 it's still random so it can still take a lot of tries if the RNG doesn't like you.

U have to move around the room with the sound recorder while holding the record button. Once u are close enough to the ghost sound, u will be able to hear the sound clearly and it will be recorded.

U can take photo of ghost during a ghost event or even DOTS photo. Doesn't necessarily have to be taken during the hunt.

Having to wait for it to get to the normal temp and then walk around trying to find lower temps is annoying. I liked the way the old thermo was, especially since you could get flashes of lower temps if you were in the room next to the ghost room
