The way you get outa that by not getting into that scenario to begin with. Preserve your sanity by keeping the lights on while you're getting your evidence, especially when you're in the ghost room. Know your hiding spots before you get to hunting range (50% avg for most ghosts) and prioritize your smudge to save yourself.

Manage your sanity better, avoid hunters entirely for the time being.
Make sure to have lights on in your path to the ghost room, keep the lights on in the room or use a candle for when you need them off

ah. the 'kitchen' as my mates call it. so it spawns and corners you? then don't stand in the tent silly. you trying to get evidence to identify i'm assuming. if it's spawn is in the tent can be in campfire. can circle the fire and hope it can't catch you so you can get out the exit and possibly move enough to time out the hunt or find a place to break LOS.

T1 doesn't require (except for therm) to be that close. from games can get a decent answer on most evidence from where the bats are on the end of the table.

Ghosts can start anywhere outside of the range so one thing I use them for is to make sure ghosts arent starting in my escape path.
Yes is it annoying to wait a hunt out. But its better than dying to a ghost blocking me in or making me have a bad path

I have been doing Nightmare. I go into the house, turn on lights in my way to the breaker and then turn it on. Look for bones and hiding places while checking the room.

Once I find the room I’ll set up what I brought and decide on where I stand to see it come at me if so need to hunt and where I would go for hiding. If it may be a Deo I’ll wait to smudge until I know it’s not and then hide.

All the while checking for the 2 evi (and orbs) and filling the journal.

It’s pretty basic and boring lol

If you are in ameteur mode, you are spending too much time in match because the ghost takes FOREVER to hunt. You had like 5 mins setup time. During that, your sanity drains MUCH slower
And most ghosts hunt at 50% avg sanity too

All ghosts can short range teleport for events. How ever THAT map is small as hell and it's super easy for a ghost to roam almost anywhere.

You got a pie, you walk to any middle corner of that pie you on another slice that's basically that map they can touch most other rooms for a wander easy.

Starting from 8°C to 5.1°C it will fall at a rate of 0.1°C per sec = ~30 seconds
Then starting from 5°C it will fall at rate 0.033°C per sec. Let's say that you need 0.9°C = around ~125 seconds
Total = ~155 seconds

The Banshee picks a random target at the start of the contract (In solo it's obviously you) and it will only try to kill its target as long as it is in the house. If the target is outside of the house, the Banshee hunts like normal but based on the target's sanity.
They can scream into the paramic/sound recorder and they have an ability where they decide to roam towards their target. So if you get spawnkilled and the ghost room is far away, it's likely either a Phantom, Wraith or Banshee(or Mimic cuz it could mimic one of the three ghosts and their abilities) since both the Phantom and the Banshee can walk towards you and the Wraith can teleport to you. It's random for the Wraith and Phantom to who they go/teleport though

Revenant: Is very slow but speeds up instantly once it detects you
Onryo: Let it blow out three candles and see if it uses the crucifix right after (like within six seconds or so). It also hunts at 60% avg. Sanity

Yes, though if you have lots of candles and you keep them lit all the time that can block Onryo hunts. But just lighting one candle multiple times will make it hunt.

Yurei can only fully open or close doors so if it's a bit open but not fully open or closed, it's not a Yurei
Also it can drain your sanity by 15% if it closes a door. If you ever hear the old squeaky noise, it did its ability
